848 N Rainbow Blvd 953 Las Vegas, NV 89107 800-936-0812 Reece Wyman Manley, DD, M.Ed., MPM, APPCA, CSTF-M Managing Member 15530 Lewis Place 4729 Addison, TX 75001 214-206-1607 C 214-862-3675 May 1, 2010 Dear Prospective Member: Welcome! In the name of the One you are warmly embraced and we are delighted you are interested in joining us. Membership in APPCA is one of the most important investments in your Pastoral Counseling career you can make. Immediate benefits include the right to use the APPCA initials after your name, adding integrity and authenticity to your practice. Also, you receive a beautiful certificate for your office or home as well as an official statement of membership from the APPCA. Benefits continue as you will become available to clients seeking help in a number of ways – online, by phone or email. Client referrals are rising quickly as Dr. Manley’s Spirit Thinking: Your 30 Day Guide and Workbook continues to make its way to top rated reviews and reader acclaim. In addition, on the business end of things, you are granted the license to use the APPCA initials and to offer official publications to your clients. Currently, these benefits allow you to earn 50% of all net proceeds from sales of Advocate USA, LLC, publications. For a list of Advocate USA, LLC, titles see www.advocateusa.net. If you have a title you have written, you may wish to add it to the Advocate, LLC offering so other members may offer it and APPCA may add it to our publishing marketing efforts. Finally, we work to advocate for the industry remaining self-regulated and directed. T here is a hard push in government to license what we do. And, while many, like myself, have the ability to fall back on state licenses, there should not be a law telling us how we must interact with our clients when we are led by the Spirit to pray or share with them their spirituality. I ask you to become a member today and to remember dues are payable before any benefits apply. After July 1, 2010, www.appcaonline.info , our networking site will be for members only. Act now to lock in savings! Blessings, Reece Wyman Manley American Professional Pastoral Counseling Association

We affirm: The member holds the Spirituality of the client to be a sacred relationship between God and the client and will treat it with due reverence. The member holds all words spoken, written or in any way communicated from the client to be interaction between the client and God as the member represents God’s will to be the best of the members ability. For this reason, all communication shall be treated as sacred utterance and confidential to be disclosed for no reason, save the request of the client doing so at the clients own Free Will and not under duress. The member shall not engage in the treatment or diagnosis of any body-self or mind-self condition of the client. The member shall not begin a counseling relationship with a client where any untreated physical or mental condition is evident and is not being treated. If during the course of the counseling relationship a malady becomes evident, the member shall seek referral.
Statement of Faith: It is necessary, of course, that Professional Pastoral Counselors have commitments to an organized faith of an acceptable type. However, we are more interested in your personal Faith. In order to join APPCA, your faith must reflect the following concept. Of course, you may believe in different things from this starting point. Statement of Faith of the American Professional Pastoral Counseling Association: This is the Statement of Faith adopted by the APPCA on November 2002. We believe in a Creator of man which is the highest power in the Universe. We believe the Creator to be loving, patient, intelligent and joyful in ways beyond mankind’s understanding. We believe our Creator lives and wishes to actively be in our daily lives. We believe in the trinity of humans. We are body-self, mind-self and spirit-self. The spirit self, or spiritual side is eternal and is called by the Creator to rejoin the Creator once the body-self and mind-self has passed. Spirituality is the term for the relationship between us and the Creator. It is Spirituality that is of the highest concern of the American Professional Pastoral Counselor Association (counselor). The counselor guides the development of a positive, empowering Spirituality for the Citizens of the United States of America (clients). We believe that the Creator is the God written about in the Bible, Torah, Koran and ancient works. We believe, however, that the highest command from the Creator is to love others and to love the self. It is the will of the Creator that mankind strive for peace, strive to show compassion, strive to show patience and strive to show inclusion. We believe the Creator is always with us. We belief the Creator spoke our names and we came into being and when we leave this world we go home to the Creator. Beyond these beliefs, we may differ. In that, we pray the Creator continue to guide us with the love and wisdom we lack but has been made perfect in the Creator.
