Christmas Party—December 9 The Lodge 200 Christmas party will be held on Thursday, December 9 at Taylor Hall, 100 Fourth Street in Eddy, Texas. The party will start with a social at 5:30 p.m., and the meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. Lodge 200 will supply the main meal and desserts. We ask each guest to bring a covered side dish along with a $10 gift for the gift exchange. A mailer will be sent out, but we ask those planning to attend to please RSVP by Friday, December 3 by contacting James R. Hosch 254-718-4798 or Frances McBride 254-534-1930. Lodge 200 Bruceville-Eddy Christmas party Dec. 9 Lodge 200, Bruceville-Eddy will host a Christmas party on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Taylor Hall, located at 100 Fourth Street in Eddy, Texas. The social will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. Come enjoy dinner, door prizes, and a festive evening! Lodge 200 will provide the meat and desserts. Please bring a covered vegetable dish. And, bring a wrapped gift valued at $10 for a fun exchange game.

SPJST was a sponsor of Keith Elementary’s sock hop fundraiser. Sales agent Kerry Herrington of Lodge 142, Houston said hundreds of families were present. SPJST had great visibility and made many contacts at the event. It was a successful evening for both Keith Elementary and SPJST!

SPJST assists Feed my sheep District Two Director Jesse Pospisil, right, presents a $100 check to Lodge 246, Morgan’s Point Treasurer David Nauert for Feed My Sheep in Temple. The organization assists the hungry by providing daily hot meals and sack lunches. The lodge plans to match the donation.

Lodge 202, Jourdanton Christmas party Dec. 12 Lodge 202, Jourdanton’s Christmas party meal/meeting is Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Jourdanton Community Center. Tamales. chili, and all the trimmings will be furnished. ACCEPT has updated its focus to the elderly and will not be collecting canned food or toys for Christmas. You may consider assisting the youth club project by purchasing $10 Walmart gift cards for CASA. Door prizes will be awarded, and games will be played. Bring a friend! In Memoriam In Memory of Charles Krampota Charles Krampota, age 82 of Pearland, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, Texas. Visitation was held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 23 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin. Funeral Charles Krampota mass was at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel. Graveside service was at 3 p.m. at Restwood Memorial Cemetery in Clute. Serving as honorary pallbearers were grandchildren Lauren, Dylan, Peyton, Reese, and Emma. Charles was born October 2, 1938, in Iowa Colony and was a resident of Pearland since 2006. Prior to moving to Pearland, he lived in Lake Jackson for more than 40 years. He worked as a chemical operator for BASF in Freeport for 33 and one-half years before retiring in 1996. Charles was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Manvel and served eight years in the Texas National Guard. He was a member of SPJST Lodge 162, Iowa Colony. He loved listening to polka and waltz music and going to dances. Charles was an avid fisherman who enjoyed his place on Lake Somerville. He also loved his gardening, especially vegetable gardening. He’s had his tomatoes pictured in Texas Gardener. Charles enjoyed travelling as well, especially to the West coast and mountains. His international travels included the Czech Republic, Austria, and Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Teresa Krampota Sr.; sisters Grace Cook, Ruby McAnally, and Evelyn Giddens; and brothers Raymond Krampota and Melvin Krampota. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Sandra Krampota; daughter Katherine Deffebach; son Kenneth Krampota and wife Melissa; brothers Franklin Krampota and wife Katie and Jerry Krampota and wife Peggy; grandchildren Lauren, Dylan and Peyton Deffebach, Reese and Emma Krampota; and numerous other relatives and friends. —SPJST—
