TOPRAK RAZGATLIOGLU CROWNED THE 2021 WORLDSBK CHAMPION

SIX TIME CHAMPION JONATHAN REA IS BESTED BY TOPRAK RAZGATLIOGLU AFTER A SEASON LONG BATTLE AS RAZGATLIOGLU WINS THE 2021 WORLDSBK CHAMPIONSHIP.

There's a new king in town. Toprak Razgatlioglu claimed his thrown after the rain delayed race one of the final 2021 round at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, in which he rode his Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK YZF-R1 onto the number two spot on the podium. That second place finish put him far enough ahead in the points to dethrone the six time WorldSBK Champion, Kawasaki Racing Team's Jonathan Rea.

Toprak Razgatlioglu would end the season just off of the podium with a fourth place finish in race two and a points total of 564 for the season and the championship. The former Champion Jonathan Rea comes in second place with a total 551 points for the 2021 season. Ducati's Scott Redding round out the top three with 501 points.

Hailing from Sakarya inTurkey, Razgatlioglu makes history as the first Turkish WorldSBK Champion.

PEDRO ACOSTA IS THE 2021 MOTO3 CHAMPION

THE ROOKIE SENSATION, PEDRO ACOSTA CLAIMS THE TITLE AND IS CROWNED THE 2021 MOTO3 CHAMPION

Moto3 rookie, Pedro Acosta rode his Red Bull KTM Ajo machine to the number one spot on the podium on Sunday to win the Algarve GP at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal. That race win also secured the young Spaniard the crown as the 2021 Moto3 Champion with a total of 259 championship points. 17-year-old Pedro Acosta is the first Moto3 rookie to win a championship since a young Loris Capirossi did so in 1990. Acosta is also the second youngest GP World Champion, once again following behind Loris Capirossi. Further, Acosta is the sixth Spanish rider to win the Moto3 title since the class was introduced in 2012.

The newly crowned champion has already announced that he will be moving up to the Moto2 class in 2022, joining fellow Spaniard Augusto Fernandez.

DUCATI - MOTOGP CONSTRUCTORS CHAMPION

WITH PECCO BAGNAIA WINNING AND JACK MILLER PLACING THIRD IN THE ALGARVE GP, DUCATI WINS ITS THIRD MOTOGP CONSTRUCTORS WORLD CHAMPION TITLE.

For the third time, Ducati is crowned as the 2021 MotoGP Constructors World Champion. The title was earned as the results from the Algarve GP, in Portimão, Portugal placed Ducati factory riders Pecco Bagnaia and Jack Miller in first and third places, respectively.

Ducati won its first MotoGP Constructors World Champion title thirteen years ago. Its second title was achieved last year in 2020 at the same Portuguese track.
