Welcome Ever since I can remember I have loved competitive sports. Throughout my school career I have often been identified as someone with outstanding athletic ability, in 2013 I was awarded half colours from my high school Jumeirah College i Dubai. I have achieved success both in and out of school in many sports such as; Tennis, Golf, Athletics, cross country running, triathlon and most notably swimming.

I have been swimming competitively since I was 8 years old when I attended my first international competition in Kuwait with my first club, Hamilton Aquatics, who are based in Dubai where I lived and trained for 9 years. During this time I have had the privilege of competing in seven different countries and training alongside athletes from all over the world and from many different cultures. This has enabled me to experience swimming as a world wide sport and gain a greater perspective than if I had only competed in my home nation. I have been extremely lucky to have trained alongside olympic champions and finalists, and seeing the success that these elite athletes have had, has inspired my own goals. Being a swimmer has enabled me to develop a strong sense of self discipline, I have been able to balance the demands of competitive sports and training along with the demands of school and studying. I have learnt to recognise the level of dedication required to succeed in sport in addition to the importance of achieving academic success.
The highlights of my swimming career so far have been qualifying for my home nation nationals in the UK 2 years running in 2013 and 2014, and reaching the semi final of the 100 m backstroke 2014. It was also a real honour to be aloud to compete in the Dubai leg of the 2013 FINA Swimming Wold Cup along with some of the worlds top swimmers. Currently I am based in the UK where I attend Plymouth College where I was awarded a swimming scholarship in conjunction with Plymouth Leander. Plymouth College Is a boarding school with a dedicated boarding house for elite swimmers. Being in this environment has helped me to gain a greater sense of independence and enabled me to take responsibility for my self as an athlete, and a student, for example managing my school work, sleep and nutrition. I feel that this experience will provide me with and insight to independent living and help me prepare for live at university.
