I’ve trained and competed in volleyball for almost 11 years now and each time I step onto the court, whether it’s for a world championship or a scrimmage game at my local court, my love for the sport just keeps growing. Volleyball has taught me new skills that has not only improved me as an athlete but has also had a positive impact on my day to day life. I love the feeling of stepping onto the court with a partner and knowing that you, as a team, are going to give 100%. Being physically and mentally challenged on court allows me to progress quickly and positively in both ways. I always find the aspect of a challenge motivating and the ability to overcome them very satisfying. Getting an American scholarship will allow me to improve on my skills and knowledge of the game. I am also very keen on experiencing new coaching techniques that will teach me how to become a better elite athlete. Pairing up with new partners and being part of a different team will allow me to gain more experiences as a player and will also give me a chance to pass on the knowledge I have gained from competing and training internationally. In addition, living in another country and experiencing a new environment will be very exciting and allow me to become a more well rounded person.
