Jordan Elliot Water Polo
United Kingdom
Welcome I am a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent task completing skills to succeed as a sportsman and academically. I have lived and trained abroad, during school holidays, most recently living and training with Hungarian teams UVSE (hosted by the Women’s National Coach Andres Meresz) and Eger (hosted by Csaba Rull) during the summer of 2014.
by Jordan Elliot
I have played for Great Britain, mainly as centre forward, in 22 tournament matches. This includes 2 European Championships in which I played under age, the only GBR player to achieve this, scoring 20 goals in the process and winning a significant number of exclusion fouls and penalties. Domestically I have won a number of Championships and have been voted Most Valuable Player Award (nationally in various competitions for the last 3 years). I have top scored in almost all events including most recently in 2014 the National Age Group Championships and English Schools, Duke of Cambridge Cup. I have also been selected to represent English Schools next season in an international tournament to be held in Malta.

Friday 12th September 2014 To whom it may concern, Re: Jordan Elliot This is a coach’s reference for Jordan Elliot, who represented Great Britain with distinction at water polo in 2013 and 2014. I have no hesitation in recommending Jordan’s all round contribution and especially his skills as a centre forward. He has a particular quality in creating opportunities and in scoring goals, notably at important moments in matches, having excellent awareness and fast hands: he scored 9 of our 60 goals junior internationals in 2014. He is often the focus of our attacks, making himself available for entry passes. It would be great if he were able to continue his development in this role in the United States. Jordan is a strong young player. Although born in 1997, he has represented GB in both past two years in European Qualifiers, our only outfield player to do this: in 2014 for players born 1995 and later (under-19s), and for players born 1996 and later in 2013 (under-17s). He matched up well with centrebacks often two years older. He is likely to be key a player for us in the 2016 Europeans under-19s, for athletes born 1997 and later. His physical development would benefit hugely by training and playing in the US college system. He is dedicated and focussed, as well as popular with all his teammates. He has the mental strength and perseverance to score goals at important points late in matches. He is a pleasure to work with from a coaching point of view, being particularly good at asking perceptive questions. He also makes time for his studies, his kit bag often heavy with textbooks. Jordan is likely to develop into an outstanding senior player. Experience of training and playing in the US would be a huge help with this. Yours sincerely,
