Rosalind CRANHAM Swimming
England
Welcome by Rosalind Cranham
I would like pursue my sport in America alongside my college courses because I believe people in America appreciate sport more than here. It would provide me with the opportunity to combine my academics and sport; knowing they would be catered for in the same place. This isvery important for me and believe it would only benefit my sports and academics further in order to achieve my goals. I believe that taking the opportunity to study and compete in America will provide me with an opportunity that would not be available to me in England. In addition, the potential opportunity in life will be greater if I study in America. The infrastructure and support network available to swimmers is a driving force in my decision to pursue America. I believe that I would thrive in an environment where everyone is interested in sport and appreciated it for what it is and how much work it requires. Being part of a college team will also help me progess further in swimming because I know that everyone is there for the same
reason as me. A supportive team ethos is something I want to experience and having carefully structured training within a competitive environment would be amazing. America would be perfect to help me continue to enjoy and succeed in a sport that has been a massive part of the majority of my life alongside academic success I would consider myself to be a dedicated and motivated person that won’t settle for less than what I know I am capable of. This applies to sport and academics. I’m a positive team player and can accept any role. I’m also fun and forthcoming; I am someone who is easy to get on with.
