MATCH PREVIEW The Swope Park Rangers (3-9-6, 15 points) will aim to secure their second consecutive victory on Saturday, traveling north of the border to face Ottawa Fury FC (7-3-8, 29 points) at TD Place Stadium. The Eastern Conference clash will mark the first time the clubs have squared off on the USL Championship stage and brings SPR to Canada for the first time since July 2017. Led by second-year head coach Paulo Nagamura, the Rangers claimed their third victory of 2019 on Wednesday night, edging Hartford Athletic in a 4-3 thriller at Children’s Mercy Park. Felipe Hernandez dispatched his team-leading eighth goal of the year, Kelyn Rowe bagged a quickfire brace in the first half and 16-year-old Tyler Freeman opened his professional scoring account as SPR held off a late Hartford rally.

SPR INJURY REPORT

On the opposite sideline, Ottawa have been one of the toughest teams to beat this season. Their three defeats are tied for the second-fewest in the Eastern Conference. The club is led by Nikola Popovic, who coached SPR to the 2017 USL Western Conference title and an appearance in the USL Cup Final. Popovic was also an assistant during SPR’s inaugural campaign in 2016.

OUT: M Camilo Benitez (hip)
