MATCH PREVIEW The upstart Swope Park Rangers (5-16-7, 22 points) will put a two-game winning run and a three-match shutout streak on the line Wednesday night when they visit Loudoun United FC (6-15-6, 27 points) at Segra Field. The midweek matchup comes four days after the Rangers secured their first road victory of the season with an emphatic 3-0 defeat of the Charlotte Independence. In-form striker Wilson Harris paced SPR with goals in either half, taking his total to eight on the season and moving into a tie atop the club scoring charts with Felipe Hernandez. Wan Kuzain Wan Kamal rounded out the triumph with a late tally of his own as the Rangers notched a third consecutive clean sheet. Under the guidance of head coach Ryan Martin, Loudoun sit five points ahead of SPR in the Eastern Conference standings as both sides appear destined to miss the USL Cup Playoffs. D.C. United’s affiliate club has lost three straight and six of eight, including a 5-2 decision at Bethlehem Steel FC last Wednesday in which Gordon Wild and Kyle Murphy found the back of the net for the visitors.
