MATCH PREVIEW The Swope Park Rangers (5-17-7, 22 points) will take the field Monday at world-class Children’s Mercy Park when they host Birmingham Legion FC (11-12-6, 39 points) in the club’s penultimate home match of the 2019 USL Championship campaign. Under the guidance of second-year head coach and former Sporting midfielder Paulo Nagamura, the Rangers saw a three-game unbeaten run and shutout streak snapped Wednesday night in a 4-1 road loss to Loudoun United FC. Sporting KC Academy product Wilson Harris was on target for the visitors, dispatching a 37th-minute penalty kick for his seventh goal in a torrid eight-game stretch. Loudoun did their damage through hat trick hero Gordon Wild, ending SPR’s season-best three-match run of clean sheets.
