MATCH PREVIEW Boasting a 3-1-2 record in their last six USL Championships matches, the upstart Swope Park Rangers (6-17-8, 26 points) will return to Children’s Mercy Park on Tuesday for the club’s final home game of the 2019 USL Championship campaign. Visiting the heralded soccer cathedral is an Ottawa Fury side (13-9-9, 48 points) led by former SPR head coach Nikola Popovic that can clinch an Eastern Conference playoff berth with a win or a draw. Tuesday’s fixture will serve as a reunion of sorts, with Swope Park Rangers head coach Paulo Nagamura going up against Popovic after the duo coached SPR together in 2017. Popovic washead coach and Nagamura was his assistant when the Rangers won their second consecutive Western Conference championship and advanced to the 2017 USL Cup Final against Louisville City FC.
