GAME NOTES FIRST TIME AGAINST RGV Saturday's game marks the first meeting this season between the Swope Park Rangers and Rio Grande Valley FC. Both sides are in the midst of their expansion seasons, with RGV finding themselves one point better off than the Rangers at this moment with a 322 record. However, the Toros are winless at home so far this season, going 011, while the Rangers are 121 on the road. RETURN TO TEXAS While the game is the Swope Park Rangers' first against Rio Grande Valley FC, it's the club's second against a Texasbased opponent. The Rangers already faced San Antonio FC at Toyota Field on April 9, playing to a 11 tie with Daniel Salloi scoring for SPR. The Rangers will look to complete an unbeaten season in Texas this Saturday, with the club's other four matches with RGV and San Antonio all being held at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo.

Lubin made four saves in the game, including two excellent saves late on to preserve the three points for the Rangers as Tulsa were piling on the pressure. Lubin captained the Roughnecks during their expansion season last year, making 15 appearances and recording a leaguehigh 4.87 saves per game.

In addition, center back Tommy Meyer is from St. Louis, Mo. and returns to his home state after spending eight years away.

CONNECTED TO SWOPE PARK The team name, "Swope Park Rangers", is a moniker that stems from the days of the old MLS Reserve League. Sporting Kansas City's reserve side would play games at Swope Soccer Village at Swope Park, and fans who followed the side coined the name Swope Park Rangers in reference to the team. The name was never used through official club channels until October 22, 2015, when Sporting Club introduced the Swope Park Rangers as the club's new USL side. The club will play the majority of it's home games at Children's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village.
