He scored in the 21 defeat on April 27 having also scored against Vancouver last season as a member of the Austin Aztex. • Daniel Salloi is the only Rangers player to have an assist against Vancouver, coming in the meeting on April 27. • Whitecaps FC 2 captain Kyle Greig, who scored from the penalty spot in the April 27 game, attended Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. and played for former USL PDL club the Kansas City Brass. • Jon Kempin and Alex Molano were teammates of Vancouver's Spencer Richey during U.S. Under17 Residency in 200809. • Mark Anthony Gonzalez and Johnny Grant played alongside Giuliano Frano at Canadian club Sigma FC in 2014.

LAST MEETING Swope Park Rangers 12 Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 April 27, 2016 at Swope Soccer Village (Kansas City, Mo.) The Swope Park Rangers fell 21 to Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in the club's first home game at Swope Soccer Village on Wednesday, April 27. SPR forward Kris Tyrpak scored his first goal for the club in the 16th minute to make the score 10 before Whitecaps FC 2 earned a penalty after Alphonso Davies was brought down in the area by Jacob VanCompernolle. Kyle Greig converted the spot kick in the 30th minute to ensure the score was tied at 11 at halftime. A stunning 25yard strike from Ben McKendry in the 54th minute gave Whitecaps FC 2 a 21 advantage and they held on to that lead to claim all three points.

GAME NOTES LOOKING TO GET BACK TO .500 Sunday's game against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 presents the Swope Park Rangers with an opportunity to return to .500 for the first time since May 14 when SPR claimed a 21 win over Tulsa to move to 331 for the season. SPR are currently at 452 following Wednesday's comprehensive 40 win over Rio Grande Valley FC and will look to join the other eight teams in the USL Western Conference that are at .500 or above on Sunday. HEADING NORTH OF THE BORDER The Swope Park Rangers head to Vancouver on Sunday to take on Whitecaps FC 2 in the only trip that SPR will take north of the border this season. There are three Canadian teams in the USL: FC Montreal, Toronto FC II and Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 with Vancouver the only team residing in the Western Conference. Vancouver are 212 at home this season, with their last home win coming on May 15 against LA Galaxy II. SPR are 142 on the road and have not claimed all three points since their firstever away game against Tulsa on April 2. OLIVEIRA SETTING THE STANDARDS Swope Park Rangers midfielder Kevin Oliveira produced a standout display on Wednesday in his side's 40 win over Rio Grande Valley FC. Oliveira, on his 20th birthday, scored one goal and provided assists on the other three goals as he moved into a tie for the leaguelead in assists with four. It was also the first time this season that a player in MLS, NASL or USL has recorded three assists in one game. The 40 scoreline was also the widest margin of victory in the USL Western Conference this season, and tied for the widest margin in the entire league. THREE GOALS IN TWO GAMES FOR GONZALEZ In his first home start for the club, forward Mark Anthony Gonzalez scored twice including the gamewinner to help guide SPR to a 40 win over Rio Grande Valley FC on Wednesday. After scoring his first professional goal on Saturday against Portland Timbers 2, the 21yearold Canadian continued his excellent form with two sharp firsthalf finishes to bring his season total to three and move him into a tie for second place on the team in goals. Gonzalez also has two assists on the season, meaning he has contributed to five goals in just 397 minutes this season a rate of one every 79 minutes.

SALLOI LEADS FROM THE FRONT Swope Park Rangers forward Daniel Salloi leads the team in goals (4) and is second in assists (3), making him one of 12 players in the USL to have contributed to seven or more goals in 2016. The Hungarian is averaging a goal or assist every 68 minutes this season, which is the best average of all players in the USL that have contributed to seven or more goals, edging out LA Galaxy II's Jack McBean (11G, 2A) who has a goal or assist every 77 minutes. Salloi, 19, is also the youngest player and only teenager to have contributed to seven or more goals this season. ALEC KANN ADDED FROM SPORTING KC This week, the Swope Park Rangers announced that the club had added goalkeeper Alec Kann on loan from Sporting Kansas City. The 25yearold from Decatur, Ga. has made one appearance for Sporting KC this season after being selected in the ReEntry Draft late in 2015, coming against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 27. Kann has plenty of USL experience, having played with the Charleston Battery in 2012 and Saint Louis FC in 2015 (on loan from the Chicago Fire). Kann stepped in on Wednesday against Rio Grande Valley FC and helped guide SPR to the side's first shutout of the season in the 40 win. ONE IRONMAN REMAINS Following Wednesday's 40 win over Rio Grande Valley FC, Tommy Meyer remains the only player on the Swope Park Rangers' roster that has played every minute in 2016. Through the club's first eight games, Meyer was joined by captain Christian Duke in playing every minute, but Duke was subbed off in the 11 draw at Sac Republic on May 28. Meyer has played all 990 minutes for SPR, while Duke, Jimmy Mulligan, Kevin Oliveira and Ualefi have also started all 11 games for the club.

YOUNGSTERS ON THE SCORESHEET So far in the 2016 season, 21 players under the age of 20 have scored goals in the USL. Of those 21 players, three play for the Swope Park Rangers the highest number of teenage goalscorers out of all 29 teams in the league. Kevin Oliveira, who turned 20 this week, scored the club's firstever goal, while Daniel Salloi (19) leads the team with four strikes and Nansel Selbol (19) has also found the net. LA Galaxy II, New York Red Bulls II, Bethlehem Steel FC, FC Montreal, Portland Timbers 2, Seattle Sounders FC 2 and Toronto FC II are tied for second in the league with two teenage goalscorers each. The youngest A DAY OF FIRSTS Wednesday's 40 win over Rio Grande Valley FC saw several firsts for the goalscorer this season is Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2's 15yearold Swope Park Rangers. Kevin Oliveira recorded the first mutliassist game winger Alphonso Davies in club history, while fellow midfielder Ualefi notched his first assist for the YOUTHFUL SQUAD club on Oliveira's goal. Earlier in the day, SPR had added Alec Kann on The average age of the Swope Park Rangers squad is 22.4, which is loan from Sporting KC and the goalkeeper immediately earned the start, guiding the side to their first shutout of the season while facing zero shots the sixth lowest in the 29team league. The roster includes six teenagers in Jaylin Lindsey (16), Ezra Armstrong (17), Will Little (18), on goal in the contest. Steven Tekesky (18), Nansel Selbol (19) and Daniel Salloi (19), while the oldest players on the squad are Zac Lubin and Tommy Meyer, both .

GAME NOTES CONT. 26. The leaguewide average age is 24.2, with FC Montreal boasting the youngest team with a mean of 21.4 while Arizona United SC are the oldest with an average age of 26.8. Sunday's opponents Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 are the fifth youngest team with an average of 22.2.

Nansel Selbol (Nigeria) and Ualefi (Brazil) were all born outside of North America. Each USL team is permitted seven Foreign Players on their roster, and the Rangers occupy six with Oumar Ballo, Amer Didic and Tomas Granitto qualifying as domestic players.

USL EXPANSION SEASON The 2016 campaign is the Swope Park Rangers' USL expansion season. For the eight MLSowned USL teams that entered the league prior to the Rangers, only three qualified for the postseason in their initial campaign. LA Galaxy II made it to the semifinals in 2014 while New York Red Bulls II advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals and Seattle Sounders FC 2 were eliminated in the Western Conference First Round in 2015. FC Montreal, Portland Timbers 2, Real Monarchs, Toronto FC II and Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 did not qualify for the USL Playoffs in their inaugural season in 2015.

POTENT STRIKEFORCE On Dec. 16, 2015 the Swope Park Rangers announced the signings of Dane Kelly and Kris Tyrpak, who combined for 20 goals in the USL regular season in 2015. Kelly is the USL's alltime leading scorer with 43 goals, 42 with the Charelston Battery, while Kris Tyrpak has scored goals in MLS, NASL, USL and USL PDL. In all competitions last season, Kelly (12) and Tyrpak (11) had 23 goals between them, while they have one goal each so far in 2016. Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 are led by Kyle Greig, who has 10 goals this season.

USL EXPERIENCE Of the 25 players on the Swope Park Rangers' current roster, 10 have previously played in the USL. Most notably, Dane Kelly is the USL's all time leading scorer with 43 goals since joining the league in 2011. Christian Duke spent the last two seasons with OKC Energy FC, helping the side to a playoff berth in 2015 with the aid of Jacob VanCompernolle. Tommy Meyer was minutes from claiming the 2015 USL Championship as his LA Galaxy II side fell to the Rochester Rhinos in extra time. Kris Tyrpak spent the 2015 season with the Austin Aztex, scoring nine goals for his hometown club. Jon Kempin (Orlando City SC, OKC Energy FC) spent time on loan at Sporting KC's former affiliates. Johnny Grant (FC Montreal) Alec Kann (Charleston Battery, Saint Louis FC), Zac Lubin (Tulsa Roughnecks FC) and Tyler Pasher (Pittsburgh Riverhounds) also have USL experience. STRAIGHT OUTTA MLS While there is a significant amount of USL knowhow in the squad, two players also boast MLS experience Tommy Meyer and Kris Tyrpak. Meyer was drafted in the first round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft by the LA Galaxy and went on to make 57 appearances in all competitions for the club, winning MLS Cup in 2012 and 2014. Tyrpak was drafted by Chivas USA in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, tallying one goal against the Colorado Rapids and one assist against FC Dallas before the club folded at the end of that season. Two further players were also signed by MLS teams but did not make an appearance: Oumar Ballo was drafted by the Houston Dynamo in 2015 and Christian Duke spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with Sporting KC. INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR There are nine members of the Swope Park Rangers that were born outside of the U.S. and Canada. Ayrton (Brazil), Oumar Ballo (Mali), Amer Didic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Tomas Granitto (El Salvador), Dane Kelly (Jamaica), Kevin Oliveira (Cape Verde), Daniel Salloi (Hungary),

ACADEMY TIES On March 10, the Swope Park Rangers announced the signings of Ezra Armstrong, Will Little and Steven Tekesky to Academy contracts ahead of the 2016 USL season. All three players joined the Rangers directly from the Sporting KC Academy after spending a large portion of preseason with the team. Armstrong and Little both relocated to Kansas City within the last few years from Tennessee to join the Sporting KC Academy, while Tekesky is from Raymore, Mo. Armstrong comes from a family with pedigree, with his father, Desmond Armstrong, a National Hall of Famer. Most recently, Jaylin Lindsey was signed to an academy contract on May 6, making his debut the following day against Saint Louis FC, becoming the first American born in the 2000s to make his professional debut. FIRST TEAM HELP In late March, the Swope Park Rangers announced that the club had added Sporting Kansas City's Jon Kempin, Jimmy Medranda and Daniel Salloi on loan. All three players contributed immediately in the season opener against Timbers 2, with Kempin and Medranda starting, while Salloi appeared off the bench to notch the gamewinning goal late in the contest. Medranda was recalled to Sporting KC on March 31 and remains with the team, while Jordi Quintilla was loaned to the Rangers ahead of their game against Whitecaps FC 2 on April 27, playing 89 minutes in that matchup before being recalled by Sporting KC a month later. Goalkeeper Alec Kann joined the Rangers on loan from Sporting KC earlier this week and immediately helped the side to their first shutout on Wednesday night. CAPTAIN DUKE On Wednesday, March 23, the Swope Park Rangers' firstever signing Christian Duke was named captain of the club ahead of the season opener. Duke is an Overland Park, Kan. native that came through Sporting KC's Academy before enjoying a fouryear college career at the University of San Diego. He was selected by Sporting KC in the

GAME NOTES CONT. 2013 Supplemental Draft but did not make an appearance, instead spending time on loan at OKC Energy FC before joining the club permanently in 2015. So far this season, Duke has started all 11 games for SPR. LOCAL PRESENCE IN THE SQUAD While there are three players on the Swope Park Rangers roster who are directly from the Kansas City area, six more have connections to the city. Christian Duke (Overland Park, Kan.), Jon Kempin (Leawood, Kan.) and Steven Tekesky (Raymore, Mo.) were all raised in the region, while Ezra Armstrong, Jaylin Lindsey, Will Little, Daniel Salloi and Nansel Selbol all entered the club through the Sporting KC Academy, despite not being natives of the area. In addition, center back Tommy Meyer is from St. Louis, Mo. and returns to his home state after spending eight years away.

CONNECTED TO SWOPE PARK The team name, "Swope Park Rangers", is a moniker that stems from the days of the old MLS Reserve League. Sporting Kansas City's reserve side would play games at Swope Soccer Village at Swope Park and fans who followed the side coined the name Swope Park Rangers in reference to the team. The name was never used through official club channels until October 22, 2015, when Sporting Club introduced the Swope Park Rangers as the organization's new USL side.
