• The Swope Park Rangers are 010 alltime against Rio Grande Valley FC, following the Rangers' 41 defeat in Texas on May 21. • The Rangers and the Toros will square off once more this season, with that contest coming at Swope Soccer Village on Sept. 3. • SPR are currently 011 against Texasbased opponents, playing to a 11 draw with San Antonio FC on April 9 and a 41 defeat with RGV on May 21. Both of those matchups were on the road.

PLAYER NOTES VS. RGV

• Daniel Salloi leads the team with one goal against RGV, coming in the only match between the sides on May 21. • Kris Tyrpak delivered an assist on that goal, making him the only SPR player to have an assist against RGV. • Kris Tyrpak also played under RGV head coach Wilmer Cabrera in 2014 while at MLS side Chivas USA. • RGV assistant coach Rafael Amaya was Sporting KC midfielder Roger Espinoza's youth coach when the two were based in Colorado, while Amaya also played alongside Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes at the Rapids in 1997. • Jon Kempin and Alex Molano were teammates of RGV's George Malki during U.S. Under17 Residency in 200809. • Oumar Ballo and RGV's Taylor Hunter were both drafted by the SPR INDIVIDUAL LEADERS RGV Houston Dynamo in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, with Ballo selected Salloi (3) Goals Lovejoy,Rodriguez(3) 30th overall and Hunter taken at number 49. GAME NOTES OUT FOR REVENGE The Swope Park Rangers head into Wednesday's matchup with Rio Grande Valley FC seeking revenge for the side's 41 defeat to RGV on May 21. Memo Rodriguez scored twice in that game to open the scoring before Daniel Salloi pulled one back for SPR. Two late goals from Rob Lovejoy and Emilio Garcia sealed the points for the Toros. Wednesday's game marks the third time this season the Rangers will face a repeat opponent, but the first time they will face a side they who beat them in the first meeting. SPR defeated Portland Timbers 2 and Tulsa Roughnecks FC to open the season before again topping Tulsa on May 14 and falling last weekend to Portland Timbers 2. The Rangers have posted a 210 record at home this season while RGV are 413 on the road. FINALLY BACK AT HOME, BUT NOT FOR LONG After three consecutive games on the road, the Swope Park Rangers finally concluded their road swing with Saturday's 21 defeat to Portland Timbers 2 in Meridian, Idaho. SPR will play their first home game since May 14 on Wednesday night against RGVFC, but the home comforts won't last for long as the side heads north of the border this weekend to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. Starting this Wednesday, the Rangers will enjoy alternating homethenaway matchups for nine straight games after playing seven of their opening 10 games on the road. GONZALEZ GETS HIS FIRST IN THE PROS In Saturday's 21 defeat to Portland Timbers 2, Mark Anthony Gonzalez scored the first goal of his professional career in the 85th minute. After Neco Brett and Victor Arboleda had pushed T2 to a 20 lead, Gonzalez lobbed goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh from the top of the box for the first goal of his rookie season. The 21yearold Canadian already has two assists on the year placing him second on the team behind Daniel Salloi and his goal on Saturday now means that every SPR forward has found the net at least once this season. BALLO REGISTERS FIRST CAREER ASSIST SPR defender Oumar Ballo notched his first career assist on Saturday when his flicked header found Mark Anthony Gonzalez who finished to make the score 21 against Portland Timbers 2. Ballo was drafted in the second round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by RGV's parent club, the Houston Dynamo, but did not make an appearance for the club before being waived. Ballo made his professional debut against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on April 27 at Swope Soccer Village before earning his first start on May 7 at Saint Louis FC receiving a red card in firsthalf stoppage time after being shown two yellow cards. The 25yearold became the fifth SPR player to notch an assist in 2016 and is tied for third on the team behind Daniel Salloi (3) and Mark Anthony Gonzalez (2). STREAKING IN OPPOSITE WAYS The Swope Park Rangers enter Wednesday's contest with RGV having recorded just one win in their last eight games, going 152 since opening the season with a 200 record. In contrast, RGV are unbeaten in their last

six games, going 303 after posting a 221 record in their first five games of 2016 including a 41 victory over the Rangers at home on May 21. Of RGV's five victories this season, four have come away from home with their sole home win coming against SPR. The Toros have not lost on the road since their season opener when they fell 20 to Tulsa Roughnecks FC at ONEOK Field. ALEC KANN ADDED FROM SPORTING KC On Tuesday, the Swope Park Rangers announced that the club had added goalkeeper Alec Kann on loan from Sporting Kansas City. The 25yearold from Decatur, Ga. has made one appearance for Sporting KC this season after being selected in the ReEntry Draft late in 2015, coming against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 27. Kann has plenty of USL experience, having played with the Charleston Battery in 2012 and Saint Louis FC in 2015 (on loan from the Chicago Fire). Kann's last USL appearance came for Saint Louis FC in a 20 victory over the Charlotte Independence on Sept. 13, 2015. SALLOI LEADS FROM THE FRONT Swope Park Rangers forward Daniel Salloi leads the team in goals (3) and assists (3), making him one of 17 players in the USL to have contributed to six or more goals in 2016. The Hungarian is averaging a goal or assist every 75.5 minutes this season, which is the best average of all players in the USL that have contributed to six or more goals, narrowly edging out LA Galaxy II's Jack McBean (11G, 2A) who has a goal or assist every 76.6 minutes. Salloi, 19, is also the youngest player and only teenager to have contributed to six or more goals this season. ONE IRONMAN REMAINS Following last weekend's 21 defeat at Portland Timbers 2, Tommy Meyer remains the only player on the Swope Park Rangers' roster that has played every minute in 2016. Through the club's first eight games, Meyer was joined by captain Christian Duke in playing every minute, but Duke was subbed off in the 11 draw at Sac Republic on May 28. Meyer has played all 900 minutes for SPR, while Duke, Jimmy Mulligan, Kevin Oliveira and Ualefi have also started all 10 games for the club. YOUNGSTERS ON THE SCORESHEET So far in the 2016 season, 21 players under the age of 20 have scored goals in the USL. Of those 21 players, three play for the Swope Park Rangers the highest number of teenage goalscorers out of all 29 teams in the league. Kevin Oliveira, who turns 20 today, scored the club's firstever goal, while Daniel Salloi (19) leads the team with three strikes and Nansel Selbol (19) has also found the net. LA Galaxy II, New York Red Bulls II, Bethlehem Steel FC, FC Montreal, Portland Timbers 2, Seattle Sounders FC 2 and Toronto FC II are tied for second in the league with two teenage goalscorers each. The youngest goalscorer this season is Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2's 15yearold winger Alphonso Davies .

GAME NOTES CONT. YOUTHFUL SQUAD The average age of the Swope Park Rangers squad is 22.4, which is the sixth lowest in the 29team league. The roster includes six teenagers in Jaylin Lindsey (16), Ezra Armstrong (17), Will Little (18), Steven Tekesky (18), Nansel Selbol (19) and Daniel Salloi (19), while the oldest players on the squad are Zac Lubin and Tommy Meyer, both 26. The leaguewide average age is 24.2, with FC Montreal boasting the youngest team with a mean of 21.4 while Saint Louis FC are the oldest with an average age of 26.9. Wednesday's opponents Rio Grande Valley FC are eighth youngest in the league with an average age of 22.7. The youngest 12 teams are all either owned or operated by a MLS team.

Ayrton (Brazil), Oumar Ballo (Mali), Amer Didic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Tomas Granitto (El Salvador), Dane Kelly (Jamaica), Kevin Oliveira (Cape Verde), Daniel Salloi (Hungary), Nansel Selbol (Nigeria) and Ualefi (Brazil) were all born outside of North America. Each USL team is permitted seven Foreign Players on their roster, and the Rangers occupy six with Oumar Ballo, Amer Didic and Tomas Granitto qualifying as domestic players.

GAME NOTES CONT. CAPTAIN DUKE On Wednesday, March 23, the Swope Park Rangers' firstever signing Christian Duke was named captain of the club ahead of the season opener. Duke is an Overland Park, Kan. native that came through Sporting KC's Academy before enjoying a fouryear college career at the University of San Diego. He was selected by Sporting KC in the 2013 Supplemental Draft but did not make an appearance, instead spending time on loan at OKC Energy FC before joining the club permanently in 2015. So far this season, Duke has started all 10 games for SPR. LOCAL PRESENCE IN THE SQUAD While there are three players on the Swope Park Rangers roster who are directly from the Kansas City area, six more have connections to the city. Christian Duke (Overland Park, Kan.), Jon Kempin (Leawood, Kan.) and Steven Tekesky (Raymore, Mo.) were all raised in the

region, while Ezra Armstrong, Jaylin Lindsey, Will Little, Daniel Salloi and Nansel Selbol all entered the club through the Sporting KC Academy, despite not being natives of the area. In addition, center back Tommy Meyer is from St. Louis, Mo. and returns to his home state after spending eight years away. CONNECTED TO SWOPE PARK The team name, "Swope Park Rangers", is a moniker that stems from the days of the old MLS Reserve League. Sporting Kansas City's reserve side would play games at Swope Soccer Village at Swope Park and fans who followed the side coined the name Swope Park Rangers in reference to the team.
