MATCH PREVIEW Separated by a single point in the USL Western Conference standings, the Swope Park Rangers (4-1-3, 15 points) and Real Monarchs (5-1-1, 16 points) are both off to strong starts in 2018. The Rangers are unbeaten in their past five matches, including a 1-0 victory at OKC Energy FC on Saturday, and will be up against a Monarchs side whose only loss of 2018 came in cross-conference play against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. While the Rangers are in the midst of a three-game road trip, the Monarchs are enjoying a four-game homestand at the newly opened Zions Bank Stadium. The 5,000-seat venue features an artificial surface and is part of a $78-million training center. The Monarchs are the reigning USL regular season champions and are once again led by Chandler Hoffman, who scored 16 goals a year ago and was named to the USL All-League First Team. Cuban midfielder Maikel Chang currently leads the USL with four assists in 2018 for the Monarchs, one more than Swope Park Rangers forward Hadji Barry.
