MATCH PREVIEW The Swope Park Rangers (9-9-6, 9th place) face Reno 1868 FC (10-5-7, 6th place) on Sunday, August 19 at 4:00 p.m. CT at Children’s Mercy Park after a 2-0 loss to Portland Timbers 2 at home last Saturday. SPR’s first match of the season agaisnt Reno came in a snowstorm on St. Patty’s Day game back on March 17. The Rangers were able to pull off a thrilling 4-3 victory. SPR currently has a home record of 5-2-2 after starting off the begining of the season strong and were undefeated at home until July 10 in a game versus Sacramento that ended in a 3-1 loss at Children’s Mercy Park. Reno is better on the road and has a 6-1-5 record away from home. The Rangers have not won in their last four games at home and hope to snap a seven-game winless streak. Reno has had an 10-day rest after losing their previous two matches. Both teams will be looking to break their bad luck and stay in the hunt for a playoff spot.
