We’ve been here from the beginning. Before ‘freeride’ was even a thing. Back when skiing was stale and the product was boring. We came into this realm blazing, chomping to reimagine what skiing means.

It’s hard to not look back, to not be nostalgic. It’s hard to ignore those pivotal moments in product design – the shaped skis, the early twin-tips, the rocker revolution – that were born in our workshop. We’ve been to the peak and back again too many times to count. When we look at those times, those celebrated products you still see floating around, there was one constant: we weren’t chasing anyone else. We put our heads down and built the product that we wanted, because the product we wanted didn’t exist yet. This year’s new products follow that mindset. One that bucks convention and follows our gut. One that bends your conception of not just K2 – but of skiing in general. So dive on in, check out the new gear within these pages. There’s all the tech, marketing messaging, and story support you need. But most importantly, get out with us on skis. We’re fired up to come together and write the next chapter of K2.

MINDBENDER The Freeride skis and boots we have dreamed of are real. Built to blast.

No customer profile, no focus groups, no deep analysis of what wins magazine tests. We simply set out to make the skis we wanted to make. Skis that would let us push freeriding in new directions and make it goddamn more fun. Speed is fun; precise, high angle turns are fun, so is smearing, slapping, slashing and fucking around with your friends. So here is the all-new Mindbender Freeride collection. It includes skis and boots - men’s and women’s models. We used plenty of science and high-level design in their creation, but in the end it was our gut that drove us. Because it isn’t reason that drives us to ski. It’s expensive, dangerous, cold, makes us skip days at work and sleep in parking lots. It’s not smart, but we love it and these skis and boots make us love it even more. Bend

Fresh air, burning legs, high 5’s, fear, challenges, smiles, speed, ripping turns For over 20 years now, the K2 ALLIANCE has existed as an undeniable community of progressive, original, uncompromising women pushing things forward for skiers everywhere. A small R&D team committed to building the product that women needed. They rolled up their sleeves, turned on the presses, and redefined the way women’s skis were built, right here in our Seattle Development Center. And they’re still a part of the formula to this day, staying true to the values that K2 has held since the beginning. Determination, a commitment to innovation, a healthy dose of defiance, and the idea that nothing should get in the way of a good party. Conceived in the heart of the Cascades, this is the model that inspired the name ‘Mindbender’; never has there been a more capable 116mm waisted ski. If skiers keep pushing the envelope, this ski will lick the stamps.

Some say it’s too wide, some say it’s too narrow, but that’s all noise. Skiers who push the Mindbender 108Ti quickly become accustomed to skiing big lines faster and more aggressively than they ever have before.

We’re not suggesting you only need one pair of skis, but if you did, the Mindbender 99Ti is that ski. Quick, agile, powerful and stable, the feeling you get from this ski is difficult to put into words. This ski simply rules.

Sports car feel, big mountain appeal. The Mindbender 90Ti was born off-piste and raised on hard snow, maturing into a ski that is every bit as capable railing groomers as it is blasting crud and day old powder.

HELMET TECH Hybrid- This unique construction features the best of both In-Mold and Hard-Shell constructions. The primary In-Mold construction makes the helmet incredibly light, while the secondary Hard-Shell upper allows for more advanced Active Matrix Venting and increased durability. In-Mold- In-Mold is the premium construction for ultra-lightweight performance and is characterized by an EPS liner that is molded directly to a lightweight poly-carbonate (PC) shell. The result is a construction so light you’ll forget it’s even there. Hard Shell- Hard-Shell helmets are built to last and will look good no matter how many trips they make in and out of your gear bag. Hard-Shell helmets protect you from impact thanks to lightweight EPS foam bonded to an injection molded and durable ABS shell. Dual Active- Perfect combination of user/switch regulated Active Matrix Venting and integrated Passive Channel Venting.
