The Strap and the gasket used for SW-41, SJ-7 and FO-X1OP are a newly developed elastomer rubber which offers good flexibility and softness. Compared with the normal elastomer material, the tensile strength is higher by 50% in our test data. These new materials give a maximum comfortable fitting to the face and the profile of the goggles does not remain on the face after long time usage. Comparison of the tensile strength between the new material and the normal material is shown below. This data refers to the ratio of the strap tensile strength when pulled by the same tension.

There are two types of anti-fogging lens in SWANS SWIMMING GOGGLES. One is an absorbing type which absorbs water moisture on the lens surface and prevents lens fogging (CP lens). The other lens is a wet type which distributes water moisture evenly over the lens, like a film (Polycarbonate lens). The water film utilizes the clarity of the water, therefore creating clearer vision. With these SWANS ANTI-FOGGING LENSES, swimmers no longer need to worry about fogging. Dirty lens may lessen the anti-fogging effect; therefore it is important for the swimmer to wash their goggles after use. According to the graph below; when the temperature is cooled from A to B, the amount of vapor in the air decreases by the amount between a and b. This reduction results in the water vapor condensing into water drops, which when collected on a clear surface, such as a goggle lens, produces the effect of fogging. In a pool, the water cools the lens, and consequently, the air next to the lens is cooled. As a result, the water vapor in this layer of air next to the lens condenses and produces fogging. This graph shows the relationship between temperature and the amount of vapor in the air. Essentially, the same volume of air can hold more water vapor at a higher temperature rather than a cooler temperature.
In the pool, the water cools the lens, and as a result, the air next to the lens is cooled. Also as a result, the water vapor in this layer of air next to the lens condenses and produces fogging.

This nose strap is the most important to provide comfortable fitting to any swimmers. There are 4 sizes (A, B, C, D) included.
2. Innovative lens shape This rounded shape was developed by computer analysis and test swimming with the top athletes. This shape and compact lenses reduced the water drag considerably compared with our fitness goggles.

The concept of this model is to minimize the water drag during the swimming and to provide safe and comfortable visibility and fitting. Finally, we succeeded development of revolutionary swimming goggle, Sniper by the water flowing test at the special laboratory and the test swimming with the top athletes.
Comparing to our regular type goggle, we could reduce more than 72% of the water drag. Even with our racing type goggle, we reduced it more than 21% of the water drag.

1. Place a 3m visual power testing chart at the required distance. 2. Look at the chart and decide the visual power of both eyes. 3. After ascertaining your visual power, consult the following guide in order to select which testing lens to use. Please select your required lens from twelve powers spreading between S-1.50D and S-8.00D (S-2.00D and S-6.00D). 4. Select the test lens which gives you a visual power of 1.0. If two or more lenses afford you with the same visual power of 1.0, please select the lens with the smallest dioptry. If you could not obtain a visual power of 1.0, please select the lens that gives you the best visual power. 5. When testing with the test lenses, please start with a lens of the smallest power. For example, start with S-2.00D and then proceed to S-2.50. 6. Please choose goggles that will cause no strain to your eyes. If you feel no symptoms of either a headache or dizziness after using the goggles after ten to fifteen minutes, then these goggles are right for you.
Advice for astigmatic near-sighted swimmers
Though SWANS corrected swimming goggles are exclusively designed for near-sighted swimmers, they may be used by those with a lesser degree of astigmatism.
