the Competitions The 2024 Transplant Games of America offers 20 different athletic and recreational competitions for athletes to medal in and participants to enjoy. Sponsorships are available for the competition events.

5k Run Badminton Ballroom Dancing Basketball Bowling Cornhole Cycling Darts Golf Lyrics for Life Pickleball Swimming Table Tennis Tennis Texas Hold’em Poker Track & Field Trivia Challenge Virtual Triathlon* Volleyball Youth Olympiad Organ recipients compete against each other in Division 1, while living donors and tissue, cornea, and bone marrow recipients compete in Division 2. Donor families can participate and medal in the 5k Run, Ballroom Dancing, Lyrics for Life, and Donor Family Trivia. *Virtual Triathlon: 500yd Freestyle in Swimming, 20km road race in Cycling, and 1500m run in Track & Field.

Our competitions help transplant recipients stay healthy, honor their donors, and embrace their second chance at life. For living donors, our competitions serve as an opportunity to engage within their community and a chance to train and compete alongside other remarkable donors.

VOLUNTEERs

Volunteer Information Join in and support our community! Every two years, the Transplant Games of America brings together thousands of participants from all over the world to partake in a week-long celebration of donors, recipients and their families. This incredible event is made possible by many volunteers who want to be a part of something special and impactful. Although July 2024 is a ways out, plan now for you or your organization to join the fun as a volunteer.

How many volunteers are needed? The Transplant Games are supported by more than 3,000 volunteers. Many volunteers invite their friends and family to be a part of the experience with them. We also welcome corporations, fraternities, sororities, community clubs, sports teams, and other organizations that would like to work together to support our amazing event.

What do volunteers do? There are many ways you can help, from greeting and assisting our athletes, to lending a hand during competitions and special events. Each volunteer shift is four hours long and you may choose any open volunteer activity you’d like.

Transplant Life Foundation Since 2011, the Transplant Life Foundation has been producing and advancing the unique tradition of the Transplant Games of America. The Transplant Life Foundation serves as one of the nation’s leading advocacy nonprofits for the donation and transplantation community. In 2011, Transplant Life Foundation took over the Transplant Games, and every year since, we have been able to expand our reach and impact.
