CLASS OF 2022

Bethlehem Central High School N

A MESSAGE FROM BETHLEHEM CENTRAL SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS JODY MONROE

othing is quite as sweet as the promise of June. This is especially true after a difficult two-and-a-half years. What we have to look forward to is so much more than sunshine, celebrations and a passage into summer. Members of the Class of 2022 are about to embark on new journeys, new adventures and no doubt, new challenges. They are more than ready, displaying remarkable maturity in the face of a pandemic and having embraced the core values we work hard to instill: academics, character, community and wellness. A better world waits for us, and for them, as they make their first steps into adulthood. On June 24, I look forward to honoring the accomplishments of this class at commencement. As tassels are moved from right to left and cheers go up, our students will be surrounded by the Jody Monroe family, friends and classmates who have been invaluable with their support, encouragement and love. Also on hand will be some of the teachers who have been instrumental in the lives of the students featured below. A longstanding BC tradition allows the Class of 2022 to choose teachers who are special to them to escort the class into and out of the graduation ceremony. These “graduation marshals” were nominated by the students for having had the most significant impact on their education journey so far. They include teachers from elementary, middle and high school.

SELECTED TO BE FACULTY GRADUATION MARSHALS FOR THE CLASS OF 2022 ARE: • Kelly Babic, Bethlehem Central High School • Teresita Barcia, Bethlehem Central High School • Lester Betor, Slingerlands Elementary School • Kaaren Caron, Bethlehem Central High School • Cori DiFabbio, Bethlehem Central Middle School • Kristy Eldeen, Bethlehem Central High School • Nicholas Ferguson, Bethlehem Central High School

This group of educators is a distinguished one. They represent countless faculty and staff who have contributed in their own ways to preparing students for success in the future. What they probably didn’t realize along the way is that they were also preparing a generation to endure one of the most challenging times in modern history. This class, in particular, has met this challenge head on and with perseverance and optimism, continues to redefine the meaning of success.

Congratulations, BCHS Class of 2022!

Sincerely,

Jody Monroe Superintendent of Schools
