Class of 2022
Colonie Central HigH SCHool
suPERINtENdENt’s MEssaGE:
It is with great honor and privilege that I’m able to introduce the Class of 2022 to our school community. This graduating class has shown remarkable resilience during their time at Colonie High. They have persevered during a pandemic, which took a majority of their regular day-to-day experiences away from a normal high school experience. But, as with any South Colonie student, they found ways to adapt, learn and create opportunities for themselves inside and out the classroom. As our students look back to their high school days, we will remember the difficulties, hardships and successes created during this unique period in our school’s history. During this time, our graduating students created art and music, strengthened their ability to comprehend and adjust to
PRINcIPal’s MEssaGE:
There is a pervasive feeling of joy and sadness that has made a tradition of settling in my gut every mid to late June. Once again we have to say goodbye to such amazing and inspirational young people, but in the same breath we proudly watch you depart from our halls poised to tackle the world. As we part ways, I offer some pointed advice through the vehicle of our retiring faculty. In their years of accumulated experience comes learned wisdom and deep care for a profession vested in servicing students and their development into adults. Some of my favorites: • Develop relationships, develop trust, this creates love. • Even on your worst days appreciate and be grateful for what you have. • You never know how you’re affecting people, positively or negatively, always remember that. • Dream bigger and be nicer to each other. • We’re human, make mistakes and learn to be ok with that. • Get involved, stay involved and while you do that seek actively to expand who you know. • We can’t be too hard on ourselves, our best is always enough. • Kindness is not a weakness. • Find the good. • Embrace challenges and no matter what, keep moving forward. Graduates, in truth and reality, the road before you will not be easy, but the qualities you’ve accumulated as a Raider: grit, perseverance, loyalty and pride, shall usher you through adversity and to the doorstep of your goals. Safe travels ahead and remember: Once a Raider always a Raider. Fondly, Mr. Kachadurian
adversity, participated in athletics and various clubs, all while working hard to develop opportunities when it seemed impossible. They are a remarkable graduating class and truly embody what it means to be a Colonie Raider. I leave you with this quote by famed National Football League Coach and inductee in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Vince Lombardi, which many of you may already know, but it perfectly resonates with this year’s graduating students, families, faculty and staff: “There is only one way to succeed in anything…and that is to give it everything.” Thank you for giving it everything during your time at South Colonie. You have given us countless memories, and for that, we thank you. Dr. David Perry Superintendent of Schools

As you look at your future beyond high school. I know that you will continue to make a difference in whatever you set out to do. You have left your signature on the CCHS community with your talent, your ideas, your creativity, and your words.
As you move forward in new endeavors I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone, make meaningful connections with all different people, and most importantly be your unique and authentic selves. To my first graduating class at Colonie Central High School, I look forward to the opportunities and successes that lie before you and what your future has in store for you.
Once a Raider, always a Raider Best of luck to you, Ms. Luce
