ABOUT THE FAIR Today, we want to introduce to you a particular event – “the global forum for design” – that aims to bring all design and art’s experts in the same place to celebrate design in all its facets. Every collector, gallerist, designer, curator, and critic will rush to Switzerland from all over the world to embrace the artistic atmosphere that will reign over Basel. The event – given it wider reach -is divided into two different places: Miami (USA) in December and Basel in June: the best setting for not only high-end exhibitions of the 20th and 21st century furniture exhibitions, but also for discussion and creating design pieces, collaborations between designers and institutions and the most interesting panel discussions and seminars organized by the main names the world of design, architecture, art, and fashion have ever seen. Aren’t you curious about this design event? Keep reading for our DESIGN MIAMI/BASEL 2019 EVENT GUIDE!

FRIEDMAN BENDA – BLEACHED II BY EREZ NEVI PANA

Friedman Benda is a vital platform capable of giving the best visibility to established and emerging artists and designers, always looking for the most innovative techniques and unique approaches. Bleached II by Israeli designer Erez Nevi Pana wants to be the visual consequence of mineral extraction at the Dead Sea. Utilizing the highly saline water of an industrial evaporation pond to submerge the aluminum structure of his furniture design wants to be a wider call – through the crystallized salt that now adorns the pieces – to the human-nature interactions and consequences.
