SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10 THE VENETIAN GARFIELD, N.J.
Saint Peter’s Prep New Jersey’s Jesuit High School Since 1872
Office of the President
November 10, 2019 Dear Prep Family, Welcome to the Saint Peter’s Prep Fashion Show: Lights, Camera, Fashion! I hope you will find the perfect tricky tray basket to take home to your family, I hope you’ll be lucky enough to win that basket, and I hope you will be filled with pride at seeing our upperclassmen on the runway this afternoon. No one was happier to learn about my new job than my mom. Like so many people in attendance today, her love for Prep is boundless. I had the opportunity to walk with her on campus last month, and she was thrilled to be home again. At one point, a young faculty member asked her, “What years were you a Prep mom?” Without missing a beat, she responded, “I had sons at Prep from 1980 to 1991...but I will always be a Prep mom.” That’s my mom—Prep for Life! I know my mom loved the Fashion Show and served as a committee member. I remember the hard work and dedication she and other Prep moms displayed as they prepared to put on a great show. With that in mind, I hope you’ll join me in thanking our co-chairs: Kathy Musico, P’21, Denise O’Brien, P’21, Claudia Ross, P’20, and Beth Toolen, P’21. Together with a small army of volunteers, along with Dalma Santana and Prep’s Advancement staff, they have made this day possible. Much gratitude to all! Our annual Fashion Show is a testament to the lifelong connection Prep families have with and through Grand & Warren. Each day, men from vastly different neighborhoods and backgrounds, along with 130 teachers, administrators, and staff, converge at this one corner in Jersey City and form one family. I think of that as a kind of “Prep Magic,” but the magic doesn’t stop there. When you start spending your time at Prep events, making plans with your fellow Prep parents, and traveling to corners of New Jersey you never knew existed, you help our Prep family grow stronger than ever. Thank you for celebrating this day together, together, together. Pride and Glory,
Michael A. Gomez, Ed.D., ’91 President

The Delicate, Passionate World of Gregory Morgan and Vivien Prevette by Mia Marko, P '23
Romance and Adventure
Philosophy and Spirit
A fairy tale for thoughtful adults The Delicate, Passionate World of Gregory Morgan and Vivien Prevette is a unique s“ elf-help novel that is loosely based on the legend of Psyche and Eros, a supernatural romance between a mortal woman and a god. What can a mortal and a god have in common, and can they love each other? Although an entertaining read, the book's real goal is to ask the Big Questions of life and to subtly create opportunities for meditation on the Real Love Story - everyone's own s" upernatural" spiritual love with the Divine. Book One starts as a kind of Halloween tale and takes place in New Orleans in the first part of the 20th Century. Available where e-books are sold, and in paperback at the website below; audio interspersed with musical snippets for free on YouTube. Free copy of Book One - contact Mia Marko at mia@peppertonpress.com.
