SEBASTIAN REMACHE

FAVORITE PIECE OF ART

Samuel Dau L’Incendie des Tuileries by Georges Clairin This work was painted by Clairin to depict the events of Paris in 1871. I like how the painting manages to capture both a rebellious spirit yet also a feeling of desperation.

Ivan Rocks One Size Fits All album cover By Cal Shenkel I think it’s a surreal cool looking album cover, that represents the cosmic yet humorous nature of the album.

Aidan Maione Artist: Katsushika Hokusai When I saw this question, The Great Wave off Kanagawa immediately came to mind. The simplicity of the colors along with the immense detail of the wave rising and falling works perfectly together.

Nicolai Mendoza Garden at Saint-Adresse (1867) By Claude Monet I personally adore this painting due to my connection with it. I have this piece displayed on my TV at all times, and feel it adds a soothing ambience within my living room.

Nofer Tadros Salvator Mundi, by Leonardo da Vinci It is unknown where it is and thought to be on the yacht of the Saudi Arabian man who bought it. It is prized for the beautiful detail especially the right hand and crystal orb in his left, representing the celestial sphere of the heavens.

Kenneth Kramer Piano by Karen Mayer Johnston I chose this piece because of how all the colors blend together to create a very unique depiction of a piano.

Ryan Thiele Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh . I was always fascinated by it when I was younger. I think that the color and shapes work very well together. Over all it’s just a pretty cool painting and is cool to look at.

Chad Santos Cowboy Bebop by Studio Sunrise I chose this piece of art because it’s from my favorite 90’s anime, Cowboy Bebop. The colors pop, the scenes all have a purpose, and I love the unique art style. I feel that the Japanese culture during the 90’sinfluenced this artwork.

PREP GRADUATE : RASHAD MALIK DAVIS Rashad Malik Davis class of 2009, is an award-winning author/ illustrator and entrepreneur currently pursuing his dream! He explores themes of magic, the mystic, empathy, emotional literacy, and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) in his work most often - but in a fun and humorous way. He’s been putting his visions and dreams to paper ever since he could hold a pen firmly, and “I’ve reveled in every second of this journey.” Rashad is an artist, storyteller and avid reader who has been doing all for as long as he can remember: drawing characters, giving them stories and reading to get inspired.
