The 1989 Newcastle Earthquake altered the city’s landscape forever. It also bookended the 80s ramp scene and gave way to a new generation of skateboarders who emerged to take advantage of the post-quake redevelopment. The Seismographic features the Chief of the Geophysics Division of the Australian Seismological Centre, Dr David Denham, holding the original seismological chart from the earthquake.
