INSPIRATION

In this collection, we have taken the inspiration from Verner Panton’s interior designs throughout the 60’s-70’s. Panton was the influential danish interior designer. His signature works were all about fantasy landscapes, using op-art patterns, biomorphic form, unusal texture and vibrant colors. From all his works, he mainly focused on the question of living in the world of tomorrow.

He always worked with materials like plastic, plexiglass, steel, foam rubber and synthetic materials while other designers in his era tended to use material like woods. He combined the color psychology within his work and also adding some fresh nostalgia for the groovy futuristic interiors.

He was the very first designer who used plastic in the making of furniture.The famous panton chair was made out of heat, plastic and it was seamless.

Additionally, he had worked on trials and errors for many years til he had proved his idea was right back in that era. Another main ideas of his was to joint the furniture with hardware hidden underneath and these spectacular ideas are what urging this collection to happen.

CONCEPT

The concept of this collection was to take the main ideas of his, but instead of furniture we turned it into clothes. Gathering the ways of his work like using heat and plastic, applying hardware and seamless stuffs. We rearranged those into using heat transfer to fabric and plastic, making a dress out of one pattern, and using hardware on clothes. For this collection it was all about evolving the way of making furniture into the making of clothes.
