Q3 2015

Report 1

Welcome to the quarter three report The team spent the Summer months preparing for our busy start to the academic year. We supported and signposted Leaving Cert students to supportive content around exam time and we heard from readers who were going through the experience. In September we marked International Suicide Prevention Day and launched our ‘Eat Well, Feel Well’ healthy eating campaign. This quarter saw another increase in readers, up considerably on the same period last year. Our readers also became further engaged, not only are they coming in higher numbers, they are also spending more time on the site consuming more information. Ian Power, Executive Director.

ďƒ¤ How we did in quarter three 3

Our visitors in quarter three Another busy quarter for traffic to SpunOut.ie. As you can see below we saw surges in our visit and unique user count. We also saw improvements in user engagement, as represented by the hours readers spent on site and how much of the information they consumed (bounce rate). Not only are more visitors coming to SpunOut.ie, they are spending more time consuming our information. Pages per visit is down on last year, mostly because in 2014 we had a faulty cookie notification which artificially spiked this metric. In 2015 we also have more readers coming to the site through social platforms, these readers tend to consume the information they were prompted to read and then leave. A challenge in 2016 will be to convince more of those readers to stay and browse around the site.

Eat Well, Feel Well When young people move into independent living it can be hard to build and maintain healthy eating habits. SpunOut.ie’s ‘Eat Well, Feel Well’ campaign focused on helping young people make quick, easy and healthy food to fill and fuel.
