Shooting Star WRITTEN AND ILLUSTRATED BY Emily Sebalj
In the cold dark sky, there was an elegant, squishy, little star. It loved wishes, giving them and even getting them. Life was getting rough for the little star. He twisted and turned and forgot how to fly. He asked his fellow star friends what to do, but they had never heard of what he was going through. So then he went asking everyone...
So he asked Papa Star. Then he said, “ do not know. I am so very sorry.
Then Mama Star. “I do not know. I am so very sorry.”
The Brother Star. “I do not know. I am so very sorry.”
Then Sister Star. “I do not know. I am so very sorry.”
Then Grampa Star. “I do not know. I am so very sorry.”
Then Gramma Star. “I do not know. I am so very sorry.”
Then Friend Star. “Listen, and listen well. If you have a problem, think happy thoughts.
Then another friend. “Pull yourself together, man.
But then he, the little star sees how life can be easy and life can also be hard, and that you need to take risks and be adventurous to live life happily as a star. So he watched other shooting stars fly and making dreams and lots of other wishes come true. He got inspired to preserver and learn how to fly. Then he did and thought, “If I could do that, I could make dreams come true! Then the little shooting star loved wishes again.
