SportsPower Brand Logo In order to protect the integrity of the SportsPower identity, please ensure you use the SportsPower colour breakdown appropriate to the medium in which the logo is to be used.

Guidelines for use of name and graphic • The logo should always be on a solid red or black colour. • ‘PowerCurve’ should intersect as shown when placed on bottom of page/advertisment. • Minimum clearspace around logo is always proportional to the ‘cap-height’ of the SportsPower wording. eg.

Strap Line - Y O U R L O C A L E X P E R T S ™ Usage and Placement No element of the logo may be redrawn, reproportioned or altered in any way. The colours and usage must always conform to the specifications contained in this document.
Brand Values All sports retailers display the same basic brand characteristics: ATTRIBUTES = They all supply the consumer market. BENEFITS = With A wide range of products, low prices. There is hardly any difference on these measures. Brand VALUES differentiate a brand from the competition long term. Brand PERSONALITY offers intrinsic values for the customer (eg reliable, experienced, honest, knowledgeable).
Our Customer: SPORTSPOWER’s primary customer is summarised as: ‘Everyday people’ who want good mid range gear for leisure, recreational, fitness activities, school or club sport, at a fair price! They Buy for themselves and others, they support their kids, they like to remain fit and healthy, competitive still? BUT they are not aspiring Olympians, Gladiators etc. They do seek good advice - from someone they can trust! And they are happy to shop locally if priced competitively – because it is more convenient.
SPORTSPOWER’s Brand Communication: What do we want the consumer to think of SPORTSPOWER vs our competitors? That SPORTSPOWER understands its customers needs = advice, range and value. That SPORTSPOWER cares = about them, their community, their family. That SPORTSPOWER keeps up with the trends.

How can this be achieved? By showing and telling the customer that SPORTSPOWER contributes to their ‘success’ by demonstrating real commitment to maximising their fun, fitness, enjoyment, performance AND by keeping prices competitive!
By promoting that SPORTSPOWER stocks leading brands that are tested and proven, offers convenience, local knowledge, support and expertise. Customers can have confidence in their local SPORTSPOWER store. By building a vibrant, relevant, modern brand - at both national and local levels, instore and outside of store.

Incorrect Logo Usage Under no circumstances should the logo be used other than the approved treatments provided in this manual. This is to ensure consistency of brand in everything we do, at all levels and in all media. Examples of incorrect use are shown opposite. If you are in doubt please contact ARL Sports & Leisure Division for guidance and assistance.

Stationery Usage All stores in the ‘SportsPower’ group should carry a sufficient quantity of standard stationery items such as letterheads, envelopes, compliment slips and business cards. Stores may choose to give their counter staff business cards to hand to customers, or may be placed on the service counter in a card holder. Business cards may either be personalized with a staff member’s name or be generic, (i.e. with only the address, telephone, fax numbers and email address of the store). Stores setting up electronic templates such as in Microsoft Word or email should also follow these guidelines
Specifications All corporate stationery is printed in two special colours, PMS 186 red and PMS 286 blue. The Logo should be positioned on the letterhead, business cards, envelopes and compliment slips in the dimensions indicated. A4 Letterhead: The word ‘SportsPower’ along with the location at the top of the letterhead is 9pt on 16pt Cosmos light with 10pt tracking. The ACN number is 7pt on 16pt Cosmos light with 10pt tracking. The address details at the bottom of the letterhead are 8.25pt Cosmo light with 10pt tracking. Business Card (85mm x 54mm): The name is 9pt on 14pt Cosmos bold with 10pt tracking. Address details are 7.5pt on 11pt Cosmos with 3pt tracking. See examples on following page.

Store Livery Exterior Exterior signage is designed simply to identify the store amongst a group of stores. All exterior signs should be clean and not cluttered by additional peripheral decoration such as lines, ‘swirls’ or stars. Exterior signage should not have to compete with other signs such as ‘Sale’ or ‘Discount Deals’. These and other promotional banners should be positioned away from the store name. All signage must be in accordance with our brand guidelines and approved by the ARL Sports and Leisure Division prior to production. /A /V

Radio Advertising Guidelines A music track is available for all members to use in local store advertising. It is important to use this track consistently over time to build your brand locally and create recall over time. It is pacy, energetic and modern and will appeal to all your customers. A version with a sung brand jingle is also available if you want to run without a specific offer at any time.
On Hold Music/ Instore Radio For on hold music and in store radio the basic music track can be used solus or in tandem with a sung jingle. You can also add your own content voice over on top of the generic music to localise your message for your callers.
Radio Script and Voice Over Generic scripts and voice overs have been produced for various promotions. Members can add their own content, product and price offers to these voice overs to create their own local commercial. The music track, jingle and generic voice overs can be downloaded in MP3 and broadcast quality formats from the SportsPower members website. Copy for the generic scripts can also be found on the website also.
