Polka Polka I was all dots for you. My right angles were all over your shoulders and tied a knot around your neck. Your beaded necklace and I were vying to win your heart. But you chose me. We made the perfect pair!

Bubbly Blitz 1940’s
As the war time set in, our bond strengthened. You went on to take up new challenging jobs, and I kept up with you. I took more sleek and tidy feminine forms to embrace your high spirits. I was ‘high’ and I kept your hair off your face, in a neat headress. With the sober colour palette of your dresses, I brightened you up!
British scarf brand Jacqmar of London gave me a new name, Propaganda scarf and gave me a makeover. I took on more generic patterns such as geometrics. The Army, Navy and Air Force symbols, all featured on me. I gave you a bold and confident look.

Elite Bonding I became friends with Queen Elizabeth and was transformed into a symbol of glamour, power and independence. I was best known among the rich and elite. I adopted their charm to add a light spirited and optimistic touch to your guise.
1960’s
Enfolding
With my new skinny avatar, I ruled the decade and your heart! I moved further down your body to imitate Stevie Nick’s style of belt scarves. I adorned your waist and complimented your feminine looks.
1970’s
Metal Mates I matched up with your new Chanel chain handbags and elegantly sat on your body. My new embellishments interlocked you and me. The charm and grace you wore me with took us to the next level.
1980’s
Basic Grunge Days I took a strange and sporty turn with a bit of grunge here and minimalism there. The times were hard and a mess of trends. Slowly we were drifting apart. However, each day with you is memorable and I cherish each moment spent with you. I have always been there for you and will always be there.
