1. Designing the Lookbook Fashion forecasting was something that took us more closer to underatnding trends. When we were out there on streets looking at people, understanding their choice in fashion we actually understood them more.In India fashion is more of what a person like on them rather than exploring trends. Trends in India come very gradually. Few of them workout really well and some do not work at all. Choosing a topic and learning about what it actually is. Studying promostyl, WGSN and connecting everything together was something that we never did before. Working together as a group where we all have different perspective and choice in fashion was difficult yet something to learn from. Incorporating our learning and research into a final Making 12 shoots happen in 3 weeks was challenging yet fun. Thanks to Deepa Ma'am who understood what we were going through and helping us at all stages.

POSTMODERN PAINTING. Stella alternately paints in oil and watercolor

IT’S ALL ABOUT BEING NATIONAL, INTERNATIONALLY by Sreya Simlai

When Kangana Ranaut wore those long gloves with Falguni Shane Peacock corset and Kanchivaram saree we at Cannes 2019 we couldn’t stop feeling proud. India has been a country of a very prominent fashion. India had outraged always the fashion with its prominent identity. Blending it with international fashion and trend could be tricky yet magnificient. Many stylists and designers had different approach to it but here we are creating something that’s fresh! ‘Indian goddess in her swag’ made patchwork on pants is the highlight of the look.

Patchworks have been out there everywhere on jackets, sarees, bags, tshirts, formal shirts etc.Showing love to the indian culture and its belief to the almighty is something this look talks about. ‘Laal Bindi’ to the look adds signifies the devi as well. Layering an evident trend is done for the top. A high neck yellow turtle neck inside a netted top. This whole looks combine to make you stand out of the crowd. We cannot take the topic ahead without talking about what a dupatta can do to a look. A black kurta with black denim and a beautiful bamboo fibre dupatta is the look! We totally encourage men to go for dupattas.

Dupattas are always associated with women but we feel it adds edge and gives connect to the country equally. Sneakers with look makes the look more 2020 Saree wrapped with dungaree is our most experimented look. One of the legs is completely wrapped with saree and the trail goes back. The blouse is drapped in such a way that it also becomes the blouse. Paired with big gold earrings this look is about going bold and feminine. Paying homage to the indian textile, craft and it’s artisan in this cluster of international trend becomes so important.

IMPRINTMAGAZINE.COM

From romantic, vintage inspirations and experimental style, to the industry’s increasing investment in comfort and sustainability, sneakers are the mega trend of 2019 - 20. Already in market, this trend is seen on everybody from popstars, actors, sportspersons, influencers across the world. Freestyle going to it’s epitome. In Freestyle, footwear challenges conventions and celebrates freedom of expression. The theme invites a melting pot of cultural references and design influences, plus embraces gender fluidity. Vibrant, lively and unexpected color combinations are important, as well as clashing pattern mixing.

. Key colors include matte gold, flame orange, plaster, purple and more retro yellow. The colors are brought together through clashing prints like plaid, tie-dye, animal prints and text over imagery. Silhouettes are genderless—think penny loafers, sneakers and lace-ups—with an emphasis on vulcanized outsoles and aggressive treads. The low hiker with mixed materials makes an appearance. The silhouette is shaping up to be the next Dad sneaker. We tried sneakers with different combination of outfits.

SNEAKERS GOING BIG 3 EVIDENT STYLES

1. SNEAKERS IN IT’S ORIGINAL Sneakers go back a long way. In the late 18th century, people wore rubber soled shoes called plimsolls, but they were pretty crude—for one thing, there was no right foot or left foot. Around 1892, the U.S. Rubber Company came up with more comfortable rubber sneakers with canvas tops, called Keds. By 1917, these sneakers began to be mass produced. They got the nickname sneakers because they were so quiet, a person wearing them could sneak up on someone. Since then sneakers have always been a part of fashion. First coming in trend with the atheletes. It is one of the main elements in streetsyle.

2. SNEAKERS WITH THE COAT Coats have been always as formal but blending it with sneakers gives it a new edge. Making it more easy to go, a simple Vans sneaker goes completely with looks like these.

3. SNEAKERS AND CHIC With sneakers blending with all fashion trends, the colour palette has increaed and designs have become more all rounder. Sneakers have become more favourite with more men and women.

WRAPPING IS THE NEW DRAPING Just like Rapping and dancing, wrapping and draping are two diverse thing with same fundamental objective. Draping is having certain particular way of folding and wearing a garment whereas wrapping is just tying around a particular part of body or body. This season of weird silhouettes welcomes wrapping in ways you wish to see it. Becoming more indefinite and crazy wrapping is going to be seen in multiple ways. We tried some cool wrapping in three different ways for three different occasion which you can’t miss out on. 1. HEADWRAPS Headwraps have been one of the major trend this season. Functional to escape the heat and good looking as well. Solid neons to floral prints to wrapping them in a hairband headwraps were seen doing justice in all places. One of the coolest way to pair them was with bikini. In this look a neon pink ( NEONS ARE SO MUCH IN!!!) headwrap is wrapped with a yellow bikini. This headwrap makes the look classy and a contrast to the bright yekkow. Protecting you from the heavy sun outdide you can rock this look anytime while you are in the pool 2. WRAPPED BLOUSES Here we bring you two different ways of draping your blouse with just a rectangle piece of fabric. One way goes around covering your chest and then around your neck. Paired with jeans and a oversized shirt this is a very experimented look you can try for a semi formal party or an outing. Other one is the subtler version where the its wrapped around a shoulder to make not a knot in the front. It gives a look of one shoulder top. One shoulder and asymmetrical patterns have been a evident trend. Paired with a coordinating coloured palazzo the look is perfect for a brunch date or a morning event 3. THE WRAPPED SAREE Wrapped in the leg to the making it a blouse this is our Indian avant garde. Paired with a black dungaree and sneaker this look is a classic example of an indo western look. The bold gold hoops and makeup adds up to the look.
