Undergraduate architecture
ABOUT ME Currently pursuing undergraduate Architecture course in Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. An architecture student exploring ways to create a better built environment with a flavour of contemporary minimalism. I believe in the ability of architecture & research combined with design thinking for strengthening our societies and having a positive effect on the world. Architecture fascinates me with a desire to explore how science and technology can be used to improve the performance of buildings both socially and environmentally. Eager to gain exposure in professional field of Architecture. I see design as a process rather than a product. I believe in learning & being a sensible person to become a better architect.

STRENGTHS -Site is located in a area with a 5 road junction & It is easily accessible as it is just on the junction. -All the services and means of transportation are available. -Suitable soil conditions.
03
WEAKNESSES -No commercial buzz as most surrounding land use consists of residential area. -Heavy traffic flow at peak hours.
Khamla road OPPURTUNITIES -Opportunity to design a space or builtform with any type of activity like commercial, residential, public realm, etc -Fsi is 4 so more built up area
CON TEX T MAP THREATS -The junction makes it difficult to incorporate a major public realm. -It also may create a disturbance in traffic flow.
- Ring road - 16m wide
- Hospital
- Khamla road/ W high ct road - 12m wide
- Institutional
- Internal road
- Park/ Open/Barren land
- Site area - 1.35ha/ 15300sq.m
- Noise level-low
- Residential - Commercial
- Noise level-medium - Noise level-high
SI TE DEVELOPMEN T & CONCEP T
-Since highway is present on the north of site, Entry/exits should be on the west side road for less traffic. -So having service road all along the boundary gives a better oppurtunity for free movement. -A grid of 5m x 5m is taken as reference for the layout of building & rooms. -So an l shaped building is formed. -Since the rise of building is high, i have given punctures to the building such that interiors are well light up & also less wind load on the Facades. -A space frame with glass is provided on the top of the central cutout.
