English / Kannada / Tulu / Hindi Art was my first interest, I wanted to apply my skills into the real world and architecture was that outlet. In these four years, I have come to resonate with a fact that there is a story which one has to write through their design, for others to play in. Through my stories I explored human experiences in defined spaces and these were significantly stimulated by environmental consciousness and contextual architecture. This portfolio is a collection of projects that outline the same attitude.

100 Bedded General Hospital`

There is an exchange in architecture and its surroundings. An exchange and conservation of the two that can become very productive. There is a history and story already formed in an existing structure, an atmosphere that already exists. When that atmosphere starts to be forgotten, an architect can come along and find a new atmosphere or revitalize its existing one. In this project I look for creating an atmosphere with two existing water wells located in Udupi, Karnataka. By considering them as healing elements this problem is tackled. Site area : 11,000 sq m

It’s a human tendency to check the depth of the well, an attraction that can distract a person’s mind even for a short while improves his mental functioning. Hence the wells are retained adding ‘SOUL’ to the space.

Karnataka Government School : LKG – 10th Grade `

Located in Manki, Karnataka this project aims to reimagine an already existing and decaying Government school campus. It is designed in such a way where each block provides a different experience depending on the amount of light that comes through the geometry and orientation of the block. Semi internal and external courtyards are integrated in each block that serves as a dynamic space allowing students to congregate. Site area : 24,480 sqm

Kr market urban plaza

From the daily markets to the vibrant festivals and culture, this market and its surroundings are in a constant state of entropy, throughout any given day, week or year, supporting the livelihood of thousands of impoverished individuals . And it does so in a certain rhythmic routine that encourages the coexistence of the various activities, users, markets, etc. This projects aims to revitalize informal sector by rearranging them to a dedicated space, sustaining street vendor l ivelihood, provide better working conditions, prevent eviction or confiscation of goods, and furthermore, minimize congestion and encroachment on street

SWACHH-ALAYA

REIMAGINING PUBLIC TOILET The project aims to reimagine the conventions of public toilets with a community space which has the potential to be recreational as well as educational. Madhya Pradesh has 20% tribal community among its population which is the most vulnerable and exploited group. This toilet was designed for these Khargone tribes which can act as module that can be replicated across rural India The toilet is designed to fuse with the environment so that it doesn’t disrupt the way of living of the tribal community. The community space on top can be used for gathering. The amphitheater and library could be used for educating the tribe about personal hygiene and the mini market could be used for selling and displaying handmade art and crafts.
