‘Ramakrishna Paramahamsa came for the good of the world. He who will bow before him will be converted into purest gold that very moment. Go with this message from door to door, if you can, my boy, and all your disquietude will be at an end,’ remarked Swami Vivekananda. With this noble intention, ‘Sri Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Educational Trust’ has been functioning for the last 26 years near Mariamman Temple in Thanjavur District. At present, the trust is merged with the worldwide Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission and is a sub-centre of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, ready to render services to the people through education, medical, spiritual and other welfare activities. Thanjavur, which has seen many empires in the past, will now witness the spiritual reign of Sri Ramakrishna. Accordingly, a new Math will be inaugurated at Shivaji Nagar in Thanjavur on Tuesday, 14th April 2020, the auspicious day of Tamil New Year and will commence services to the public and the Lord.
