Benediction There is only one purpose in whole life –Education. –Swami Vivekananda
True Education should inculcate divine qualities like, selflessness, compassion, willingness to serve the poor, and the weak. I am very glad to learn that the School has performed extremely well in the Board Examinations held in March/April 2014. I congratulate the students and teachers for the dedicated efforts put in by them. The School has been upgrading the facilities year after year and it is the responsibility of the teachers and students to make the best use of the facilities and bring more laurels to the School. I want the students to imbibe divine qualities before they leave the school. The students handbook containing the golden sayings of Holy Trio are useful not only to students but parents also to guide them in the right direction. One the auspicious occasion of the beginning of the new academic year, I earnestly invoke the blessings of the Holy Trio on the students, staff members, parents and well-wishers of the School.
6th June 2014. (Swami Gautamananda) Adhyaksha 15

Dear Students, I am pleased to welcome you all to the Academic Year 2014-2015. ‘Work, work and move forward’ says Swami Vivekananda. I would like to record my deep appreciation that the School has achieved 95% success in the XII Board examination and 91% in the Xth Board Examination. I congratulate all the students and the teachers for their hard work in achieving this result especially the toppers in the School. A lot of changes are taking place around the World and you should equip yourself to meet the competitive World and bring repute to the School which stands in the name of Swami Vivekananda, from where you are rising like Sun to meet your challenges. Swami Vivekananda is the personification of truth, intellect, character and so on. You are His children and your Duty is to make yourself Worthy. To achieve this what you have to do?
Be fearless. Concentrate in studies and study alone. Come to school regularly and in time. Respect teachers and obey their command. Do some physical exercises regularly. Practice truthfulness. 16
Pray regularly morning and evening. Be physically strong. Have a clear thinking and intellectual understanding. Be patriotic and love your Nation and your neighbor.
What not to do Coming late to the school. Giving lame excuses. Gossiping in the class. Not concentrating. Not doing your study regularly. The Management has equipped the School with all facilities and infrastructure. Utilise them properly and raise yourself. I want the students, the teaching staff and others to extend their co-operation to the Management with heart and soul. Great work require persistent effort for a long time. This School Calendar will be much useful to one and all. I thank all the donors for their continued support to this great institution. I pray to the Holy Trio to bestow their Blessings on the students, teachers and wish them all success. ‘Take the whole responsibility on your shoulders. The future India depends on you’ – Swami Vivekananda. He is your ideal Hero. With Best Wishes (Swami Srividyananda) Secretary

TEN TIPS FOR YOUR STUDIES 1. Mother, Father, Guru and God to be respected. Obey their command. 2. Remember true wisdom begins and ends in God. 3. Never waste a minute: Time is precious. Never seek excuses for being late to school. Always be in time to school. 4. Follow your studies day by day. Do not leave anything till the Examination are near. Never be hesitant of asking further explanation from teachers. 5. Take your meals at fixed hours. 6. Keep away from the bad and lazy friends / company. 7. Take part in games: Recreation serves to refresh your mind and gives you new energy for study. 8. Do not try to escape in the face of difficulties - Tackle all your difficulties with courage. Remember, a prayer to God for light will always help. 9. When studying keep your mind only on your books. Do not take on many extra activities that may hamper your studies. 10. Always have recourse to the protection of God: Work hard and study to the vest of your ability and then seek His help.

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) What is Continuous and comprehensive Evaluation? It is a system of School-based evaluation. It is broad based and covers all aspects of a Learner’s growth and development. It is Comprehensive as it inches both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects. Scholastic Assessment. It is Evaluation of all academic subjects It helps in reducing learner stress by assessing small portions of the curricular content at regular intervals. It involves assessing continuously (Formative-FA) and Comprehensively (Summative - SA) through variety of tools and techniques. It also includes physical Education in its scope of assessment. Formative assessment has 2 components FA(a) and FA(b). FA(a) is the measure of the child’s enjoyment and participation learning activities. It is assessment based on the teacher’s observation interaction around student’s presentation or creative effort. FA(b) It is Teacher based. It would involve written work. It happens at the end of each learning unit and aims to assess the learner in all areas of curricular learning [knowledge, understanding, comprehensive, application, 56
analysis, evaluation and creativity] through each term of the Academic Year.
Summative Assessment: It is formal assessment. It is an individual, written test. It is time scheduled.
Term 1 FA(a)
