November 8, 2019 Dear Stone Ridge Community, Welcome to the Stone Ridge Rock & Roll Gala. The night is yours to kick back and enjoy the fun! This year’s focus on Goal IV, The Building of Community as a Christian Value, reminds us of the importance of relationships in our Sacred Heart family. I hope tonight will be an opportunity to cultivate friendships—both old and new. And importantly, let’s unite around our goal to raise much-needed funds in support of our financial aid program. Goal IV hinges on the building of a community that is diverse and inclusive. Our financial aid program provides tuition assistance for more than 30% of our student body. During the 2019-2020 academic year we have allocated $3,000,000 in financial aid. The size of each award varies according to need, but for each of these students, the financial aid program is the difference between whether she can enroll at Stone Ridge or not. Imagine what we would lose if one third of our students were missing from each class! Not only would all of our students miss the opportunity to learn from and with these peers, but the diverse talents, traditions, perspectives, and friendships that each child brings to the class would be lost. We have many terrific auction items, sign-up parties, and class gifts to bid on. Additionally, everyone is encouraged to raise a paddle during the “Fund-A-Scholar” portion of the evening. Every dollar donated through these efforts will support financial aid and will allow Stone Ridge students to learn and thrive. Also featured tonight will be a separate opportunity to buy a brick or a theater seat for the new Student Life Center. Your generosity in attending this Gala is deeply appreciated. I would like to say a special word of thanks to the Gala Committee: Sheryl and Patrick Christmas, Karen Kappaz Donatelli ’88 and Chris Donatelli, Kelley and Brian Lennon, Julie and Matt Rienzo, Lesley and David Sheldon, Kim and Stan Sinkford, Anna and Robert Trone, and Elaine and Paul Vining. Our Institutional Advancement team works hard on this event as well, and I offer gratitude to Marie Gehringer and Melissa Prather, in particular, for their efforts. Finally, I want to thank our many donors, sponsors, advertisers, and members of the Stone Ridge community who have supported this event. Please don’t be shy about raising that paddle and investing in Stone Ridge tonight! Your generous gifts will all go directly to the mission of transforming young women into courageous, confident, faith-filled leaders for our world. Go Gators! With gratitude, Catherine Ronan Karrels ’86 Head of School

Fund-A-Scholar 2019
An Enduring Sacred Heart Education Stone Ridge is committed to achieving and maintaining a diverse, highcaliber student body, but for some the tuition is prohibitive. For that reason, the Rock & Roll Gala raises much-needed funds in support of the School’s robust financial aid program. Our financial aid program serves as an underpinning to our identity as a Catholic School. Furthermore, our financial aid program directly supports the mission of our foundress St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, who set out to cultivate the minds of young women in order to bring the heart of Christ into the world. Each and every one of our students contributes in her own special way in making Stone Ridge the dynamic, joyful, engaging, and talented community it is today. This year we have allocated almost $3,000,000 to financial aid, with more than 30 percent of our 738 students funded in part through these resources. We ask you, as a member of the invested and generous Stone Ridge community, to support those students who deeply benefit from this program and to ensure an enduring Sacred Heart education for all of our young women. When the auctioneer mentions the amount you would like to donate, simply raise your paddle high. Your contribution will then be charged to your Gala account. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our scholars. Fund-A-Scholar Giving Levels $10,000 $5,000 $2,500 $1,000 $500 $250 $100
