Bellevue Volunteer Driver Program

For this newsletter we will be spotlighting the Volunteer Driver Program in Bellevue! The program currently has 7 volunteer drivers and one volunteer dispatcher who also manages the senior center. With the help of donations from community members, annual financial support from the City of Bellevue and the kindness of our wonderful volunteers, this program has run strong Arthur C. Clarke for the past 15 years! Thank you to our wonderful volunteer drivers; John Bohy, Bill Vaughn, Don Usher, Ronald Dempewolf, Frank Wetzstein, Ron Monner, Berry Nudd & Larry Lampe. The RTA also has volunteer drivers who drive their own vehicles; Mildred Haxmeier, Kathleen Kilburg & Mary Giesemann. Our volunteer dispatcher, Karen Oscar, does a wonderful job of taking calls and scheduling rides! Without the help of all these wonderful volunteers, this program would not be able exist. Thank you for all that you do!!
