food & kitchen supplies In collabora on with the Minnesota Service Coopera ves, Southeast Service Coopera ve will be conduc ng a Request for Proposals (RFP), on behalf of par cipa ng members, for the procurement of food and kitchen supplies for the 2014-15 school year. The RFP will be conducted with seven other regional service coopera ves in the State of Minnesota, following the purchasing guidelines set forth by the USDA and Na onal School Lunch Program. Members of SSC have the opportunity to par cipate in this program. Agreements that result from RFP’s of this nature, provide par cipa ng schools with discounted pricing on food purchases, and reduced commodity delivery charges from the awarded vendor. For more informa on about the RFP process and how your district can get involved, please review the SSC Food RFP No fica on to Members (June 2013). School districts are asked to complete the Top 50 Food Items and send to dkoch@lcsc.org by October 1, 2013.

This statewide contract was re-bid in August and awarded, again, to Nelson in September. It covers passenger cars, vans, pickup trucks, chassis cabs, bodies and equipment, police vehicles, snow plows, and more from all of the major manufacturers including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC. This program grants you flexibility to purchase the brand and model of vehicle you want. You receive discounted pricing any me throughout the year. You can purchase a vehicle at discounted pricing any me throughout the year. That means if you have immediate vehicle needs, now you don’t have to wait for an appropriate buying window. Nelson Auto Center can arrange for the vehicle to be shipped to your local dealership for dealer prepara on and pick-up (pending agreement with your local dealership). Other delivery op ons include: pick-up at Nelson’s in Fergus Falls, MN or delivery to your loca on for a nominal charge. Not only do they provide basic vehicles that come with all op ons factory installed, they offer specialized vehicles and accessories.
