ssd jewelry is a handmade studio founded by artist Melissa Lowery. Melissa works mostly with metals, specializing in base-metal etching, stamping, and homemade patinas. She incorporates positive quotes, vintage and up-cycled materials, reclaimed metals and organic materials including re-purposed leather, wood, and natural fibers into her work. Melissa’s goal is that her jewelry will connect
with someone - visually and emotionally and that her production process will leave a small environmental “footprint.”
