The Prayers of the People

Confession and Absolution of Sin

Presider Almighty God, People we confess that we have sinned against you. We have forgotten God and neighbor, we have forsaken Creator and creature, we have fallen to greed, vainglory, and the misusing of your grace.

For this we are truly sorry, and so we turn again to you. For the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us. Convert our heart, and humble our will, that we may treat with goodness all you have called good, honoring your presence in your works, until we behold you, face to face. Amen.

A Note about Holy Communion

Please refrain from intinction (dipping the Bread into the Chalice). If you wish to abstain from receiving from the Chalice, remember that the Church catholic has always taught that the fullness of the Sacrament is received even when only one form is received.

Please indicate to the Brother administering Bread at Holy Communion if you require a Gluten-Free host.

Prayer after Communion

Presider Loving God, People we give you thanks for restoring us in your image and nourishing us with spiritual food in the Sacrament of Christ’s Body and Blood. Now send us forth a people, forgiven, healed, renewed; that we may proclaim your love to the world and continue in the risen life of Christ our Savior. Amen.
