Grand • 2023 Spring and Summer Recreation Guide

Pre-K Sports Sampler

Sports include: tot soccer, tot floor hockey, tot basketball and tot t-ball. Basic ground rules are set for the children and parents so that everyone enjoys their time while participating using age appropriate safety equipment. Participants will learn to listen, follow directions, take turns, form lines and cooperate.

Intro to Lacrosse Clinic

Calling all 5th-8th graders who are interested in learning about the sport of Lacrosse! 3- day clinic will teach the basics of the game of Lacrosse. No Experience necessary. Equipment provided. Parents/Guardians are asked to equip children with a snack and plenty of water prior to dropping them off each day. Please also ensure children are picked up in a timely fashion.

The focus will be on volleyball fundamentals. Players will be learning through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, drills and actual game play.

Learn basics of the game, skills/drills to improve the game.

Downriver Magic Camp

Learn to perform multiple magic tricks, understand how to put a magic show together, and seek out local resources for study. Students will perform a short magic show for family and friends on the last day of camp.

Tennis Classes

Learn the game of tennis, develop skills, get exercise, have fun! We will cover forehand, backhand, volleys, serves, overheads, games, and team competition. Feeding drills and live ball play will help develop rallying and decision- making skills and are tailored to all ability levels.

SUMMER DOCKAGE: APRIL-SEPTEMBER, includes lift fees to launch from storage

All docks except 3.1 & 5.1 $44.75 1 lineal foot/whichever is longer; boat or dock

WINTER STORAGE: OCTOBER-MARCH, includes haul out, power wash, set on owner’s stand/cradle, storage and spring launch.

Summer dock holders: $1.80/square foot

Winter Storage only: $2.15/square foot

Boats stored at Water’s Edge Marina must be on jack stands, cradles or trailer. We no longer block boats.

Lift Services: In/Out $3.00/lineal foot (each way)

Temporary storage: $20.00 per day

Late Fees

Late payment $200.00

All fees must be paid by May 19. No exceptions!

Late Launch $25.00 per day

***Failure to launch boat by June 4 will result in termination of agreement and fees will be assessed each day you are on land.

Summer Yard Storage: Must be a summer dockage patron, limited space available! There will be a $100.00 fee for cradles, cribs or jack stands stored at the marina during the summer.

Island Walkers

Aerobic Walking to Music! This is group walking in the activity room at Centennial Farm. Join us for 3 or 4 miles each weekday. You will learn 4 basic steps with a warm-up, cool down and stretches to finish. Music makes this a fun way to get aerobic walking in before your day starts. Wear comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and bring water. Please come 5 minutes early to register your first day, which is free! Dates may be scheduled off and participants will be notified in advance by flyer, email and/or phone call.

Yoga

Get into the Flow!

Discover the restorative and physical benefits of YOGA. This zero intimidation yoga series allows you to achieve the strength, balance and stress relief of yoga at your own pace. Modifications will be provided for those poses you can’t quite do just yet… so don’t sweat! Encouragement to go a little further for more advanced students. This is your practice and will be centered around what feels right for your body. Required: yoga mat.

Recommended but not required: water bottle, 2 yoga blocks, a yoga strap and small (throw) blanket.

Adult Indoor Rowing Classes

To introduce adults to the full body, low-impact and lifelong health and wellness benefits of indoor rowing. Each session will include warmup, instruction and long- and short-interval workouts.
