2025 National Piano & Violin Competition
20 to 30 November 2025
About the Competition
As we embark on the 15th edition of the National Piano & Violin Competition (NPVC), it is with great pride that we celebrate the finest of Singapore’s classical music landscape. Established as a hallmark of artistic excellence, the NPVC has become a vital platform for identifying and nurturing exceptional young talent.
Organised by the Singapore Symphony Group and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and the National Arts Council Singapore (NAC), this biennial competition embodies a collective commitment to elevate the arts and inspire the next generation
The NPVC invites aspiring young musicians to showcase their virtuosity across four participating categories: Artist, Senior, Intermediate, and Junior, providing an invaluable platform for participants to demonstrate their artistry to an esteemed panel of international adjudicators. This year, we are addedly excited to introduce a new prize category, the Audience Prize, that awards the best performing pianist and violinist for their excellence, as voted by the audience.
Beyond the competition, participants may find enriching developmental and networking opportunities through exclusive masterclasses and performance invitations at the SSO’s events and concerts. These experiences will facilitate meaningful connections as they embark on their musical journeys.
As we journey through with these remarkable young musicians, let us recognise that the NPVC not merely a competition; it is a celebration of talent, commitment, and the transformative power of classical music.
Welcome to the 15th National Piano & Violin Competition.
