Yu Jing has been with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) since 1997 and is currently their Associate Principal Cellist. Born in Sichuan, China, Yu Jing is an alumnus of the Shanghai Conservatory and Berlin University of Arts.
Flutist, educator and composer, Jin Ta has been with the SSO since 1998. He currently holds the position of Principal Flute and Stephen Riady Chair in the orchestra.
In recent years, Yu Jing started writing children’s music stories. Together with her husband Jin Ta, they run the flute education WeChat channel “Lumino’s art of flute” (小鲁 仔长笛艺术). Through this account, Yu Jing regularly shares her stories and illustrations for children, and Jin Ta teaches free online flute lessons for young flutists.
