Welcome to another packed out St. James Studio brochure! In the first week of June, James Phillips, writer of main house hit show McQueen occupies the building with the return of his beguiling City Stories in the Studio. This is followed by a hugely entertaining homage to Joyce Grenfell in Turn Back the Clock, and a captivating new adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray from the same team who brought us the sell-out Trials of Oscar Wilde in 2014. There’s a Bastille Day party with the Hamiltons, free cocktails and prize for the best costume on the menu, a new Cy Coleman revue starring Marti Webb, and in August, don’t miss out on Miss-Leading Ladies, the dazzling celebration of the greatest grand dames of stage and screen starring show stopping siblings Ria Jones and Ceri Dupree. On-the-Door Prices: From June, the way in which we sell tickets for studio shows will be slightly different. We’re going to introduce an on-the-door price for all shows, which will be the same as the studio gallery price – slightly higher than the studio floor price – and will apply from 6pm on the day of performance. We will continue to offer early bird discounts where we can too, which I hope will continue to make a difference to those of you who like to book in advance. Under 26 Membership Scheme: If you are aged between 16 and 25 we’ve just launched a new membership scheme that will entitle you to some great offers and discounts. Following a one off payment of £5, you’ll be granted access to a special page on the St. James Theatre website where you can see all of the offers available to you. We’ll send you some exclusive offers by email too. And what’s more, each member can book two tickets at a time, with no age restriction on the second ticket. As ever, do keep in touch and let us know about your experiences in the studio. We’re always striving to give you the best programme and service that we can and your feedback can really help.
