SERVE… ST. LUKE’S EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM FUNDRAISER This Butter Braid Fundraiser provides pastries that arrive frozen, just bake and enjoy! Many flavors available (fruits, chocolate, cheese and herb) and each is handmade. Each is $14/15 and helps support our preschool. Buy today in the West Passage; delivery on 3/24. FAMILY PROMISE | March 3 – 10 As St. Luke’s supports homeless families, 100 volunteers will be needed to serve meals, sleep overnight as hosts at Luke’s Lodge and provide transportation. WNL CAREGIVERS NEEDED | Wednesdays • 6 – 7:45PM If you would love to help families enrolled in classes or learning English in our ENL program, and you love children, we need your help! Project Transformation equips college-age young adults for leadership in the church and the world, empowers children to achieve their God-given potential, and supports churches in developing relationships with their neighbors. The Challenge: • 80% of low-income children are behind their grade level in reading • Only 5% of United Methodist Church leaders are under 35 The Response through our 2018 summer literacy initiative: • 91% of children maintained or improved their reading level • 78% of college interns increased their interest in pursuing a vocation in ministry
