EAST ART GALLERY

AUGUST FEATURED ARTIST: KARLA BECKER

Karla Becker’s art is a meditative exploration between mandalas and nature, where intricate patterns & organic forms harmoniously coexist. This month’s art exhibit benefits the Girls for Success School in Costa Rica and the Midtown St. Luke’s Campus. Karla will be in the East Gallery each Sunday in August from 10:15-12:15PM.

STARTING POINT

Starting Point is a 30-minute orientation to St. Luke’s. You’ll meet others who are new and leave with a next step to help you find your place within the church. This is a great way to become familiar with who we are and how we live out our faith. No registration is needed

KIDS MUSIC - NORTH INDY

SUNDAY MORNINGS STARTING SEPT. 10 - 10:30-11AM

Registration is open for Kids Music for the 2023-2024 school year. KidzSing (1st-4th grade) practices will begin on Sept. 10th. Genesis (kids age 4 (by end of October)-Kindergarten) practices will begin on Sept. 17th. All practices will be from 10:25-11:00 most Sundays. Kids will perform on the 2nd Sunday of each month in one of two services at North Indy. Register online: stlukesumc. com/kids

TAIZE WORSHIP SERVICE

Taize worship is based on the tradition developed in Taize, France after WWII when a group of men came together to pray for peace. A Taize service invites you into a time of contemplation using simple chanting, prayers, scripture, and 10 minutes of silence.

EXPLORING MEMBERSHIP

At the Exploring Membership Class you will learn more about who we are, our beliefs, and our mission and what it means to be a member of this local congregation through serving, growing in your faith journey, moving toward generosity, and more. If you’re attending in person, we will provide lunch and childcare is available. This month’s class will be held at the Midtown Campus and is open for everyone. Currently seeking volunteers to assist with monthly diaper distributions. Distributions take place at the North Indy campus on the first Tuesday evening and third Saturday morning each month.
