SEPTEMBER FEATURED ARTIST: DIANE STAVER

Join our featured September artist, Diane Staver on September 10 for a meet and greet in the East Art Gallery. Diane combines photos, manipulates, merges, adds to, and eliminates areas until the final image emerges. Once satisfied, she uses the completed digital image as a visual reference for paintings, most frequently focusing on urban scenes.

DEMENTIA CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP

SEPTEMBER 5 AT 6PM - NORTH INDY

A support group for caregivers of those affected by memory loss. All are welcome to gather to find loving support, share resources, and encouragement along their journey. Individuals attending the Caregivers Support Group may care for loved ones in any capacity (whether at home, in care facility, or from a distance). Register at stlukesumc.com/events

Starting Point is a 30-minute orientation to St. Luke’s. Come and meet others who are new or newer and leave with a next step to help you connect and find your place here. The United Women in Faith group sponsors this annual event to raise money to support community partners such as Dove Recovery House, Lucille Raines Residence, Indiana UMC Children’s Home, and Hearts and Hope for Haiti9-. INTERFAITH BOOK STUDY - “POVERTY, BY AMERICA”

SEPTEMBER 10 - (4 WEEKS) AT 7PM - VARIOUS LOCATIONS

A multi-faith book study will be hosted at a different congregation each week, so you can experience a unique perspective brought by different houses of faith and their members. You can attend any or all of the 4 weeks in this study. The book: “Poverty, by America” and discuss ways that we can help improve the lives of our brothers and sisters in poverty. KIDS MUSIC - NORTH INDY

SUNDAY MORNINGS STARTING SEPT. 10 - 10:30-11AM

Registration is open for Kids Music for the 2023-2024 school year. KidzSing (1st-4th grade) practices will begin on Sept. 10th. Genesis (kids age 4 (by end of October)-Kindergarten) practices will begin on Sept. 17th. All practices will be from 10:25-11:00 most Sundays. United Women in Faith invites all women to attend our Fall Kick-Off on Saturday, September 16 from 9AM-2PM in the Fellowship Hall. Invite your friends to attend with you for a girls day out! You’ll enjoy a continental breakfast, sack lunch ($6), door prizes, and fun activities. Our keynote speaker is from the Dove Recovery House, and we will take a freewill offering to support their work.
