We invite you to do as pilgrims for centuries have done when unable to visit Jerusalem to walk the final footsteps of Jesus. The journey will be open during regular church hours and is appropriate for individuals, families and adult/youth classes, small groups, and we even have experiences for small children. Printed booklets and a QR code for use of your phone will be available.

Are you ready for this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza? We are! And we are so excited you and your family will be joining us at either our North Indy or Midtown Campus! So many activities will be offered, and you can expect things like bounce houses, a train to the Easter Bunny photo booth, storytelling, crafts, games, an egg hunt for the little ones (0-4 years), a raffle, and lots of fun, prizes, and treats! DEMENTIA FRIENDS INDIANA

SATURDAY, MARCH 18 AT 10AM • ZOOM

The Dementia Friends Workshop seeks to build awareness of and break down stigmas surrounding various forms of dementia and implement practical changes that make life easier to navigate for those with dementia and their loved ones. The goal is to help everyone in a community understand, reduce the stigma, and make life easier for those with dementia and their caregivers. This event is limited to 12 participants. Starting Point is a 30-minute orientation to St. Luke’s. You’ll meet others who are new and leave with a next step to help you find your place within the church. This is a great way to become familiar with who we are and how we live out our faith. No registration is needed for the North Indy classes. Whether they’re preschool or elementary aged, kids will move to follow Jesus Here, There, and Everywhere with this engaging, hands-on Vacation Bible School program. Kids will enjoy lessons, games, crafts, snacks, serving opportunities, and more! Scholarships are available. $50 full day/$150 max, $25 for half day/$75 max and scholarships are available. The Exploring Membership Class will help you learn more about the United Methodist Church and the process for formally joining St. Luke’s. Here you’ll learn more about who we are, our beliefs, and our mission. You’ll also get to hear the story of our church and discuss what it means to be a member of this local congregation through serving, growing in your faith journey, moving toward generosity, and more. FREEDOM SCHOOL VOLUNTEER TRAINING SESSION

Freedom School is a national program sponsored by the Children’s Defense Fund that disrupts the summer “learning slide” in vulnerable populations by keeping scholars engaged and stimulated. St. Luke’s is hosting our second Freedom School this summer and we need to recruit 100 more volunteers! Signup at stlukesumc.com/freedomschool.

TEEN RESPONDERS

APRIL 16 FROM 2-4:30PM • NORTH INDY

Teen Responders is hosting the third Teen Mental Health Crisis Response Workshop, designed to help teens have the tools, skills, and resources to care for their own mental health and respond to their peers in crisis. An adult workshop will happen simultaneously to help adults be empowered to care well for the mental health of the teens in their lives. The workshop is interactive and informative, and each teen participant will leave with a Mental Health Response Kit filled with small items to help them care for their own mental health as well. Condolences to Charlene Cooper and family on the death of Charlene’s husband, Walter Cooper, who died on March 5, 2023.

Condolences to Bud Bybee on the death of his wife, Phyllis Bybee, who died on March 6, 2023. Both Phyllis and Bud were long time members at the Garden. The funeral for her will be on Monday, March 13, 2023, with Visitation from 10-11am in the Community Room and the service from 11am - 12pm in Robertson Chapel.

Condolences to Barbara Porter and the friends and family of Barbara’s brother, Kenneth Edward Porter who died on March 5, 2023.
