In our annual gratitude series, Love3, we’ll talk about how to best steward our three greatest loves: God, self, and others. This will all culminate with Stewardship Sunday on November 13 where we will submit our pledges for the 2023 ministry year. We can’t wait to see all that God does through this incredible series! This year, we also have a printed version of the annual report that you can pick up on the tables outside the worship spaces or by going to stlukesumc.com/report. Throughout October and November, we’ll be collecting items for our ministry partners! • Warm blankets (new & gently used) for Shepherd Community • Non-perishable lunch-sized snacks (chips, cookies, crackers) for Fletcher Place • Fuzzy socks or throw blankets (new) for Outreach Inc. You can drop off these items in the collection bins located in the West Passage at the North Indy Campus by the Outreach on Sundays before or after services or Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. NORTH INDY - SANCTUARY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 AT 7:30PM SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3 AT 4PM & 7:30PM ASL TRANSLATION AVAILABLE AT THE 4PM CONCERT Join us as we celebrate the Christmas season through our concert, Let The Stable Still Astonish. St. Luke’s Christmas Concerts are a favorite tradition for thousands of St. Lukers and their friends. The concerts feature our 150+ member Chancel choir, the St. Luke’s Orchestra, New Song women’s chorus, Contemporary Worship Singers, Wesleyan Ringers handbell choir, Children’s choirs, pipe organ, and special guests. Come enjoy a moving Christmas Concert that is fun for all ages! This is a free event, but registration is required due to capacity limitations. AUDITIONS FOR JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6 AT 2PM & MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7 AT 7PM NORTH INDY CHOIR ROOM The production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be presented in the sanctuary on April 28 and 29, 2023. We’ll be auditioning/casting for dancers, singers, brothers, and wives. Please note the roles of Joseph, the Narrator, and Pontiphar are cast. Come prepared to dance and sing. TEEN RESPONDERS NOVEMBER 6 FROM 2-4:30PM • NORTH INDY Teen Responders is hosting our second Teen Mental Health Crisis Response Workshop! This FREE workshop is designed to help teens (grades 7-12) have the tools, skills, and resources to care well for their own mental health and respond to their peers in crisis. We also have an adult workshop, which helps adults be empowered to care well for the mental health of the teens in their lives. The workshop is interactive and informative, and each teen participant will leave with a Mental Health Response Kit filled with small items to help them care for their own mental health. YOUTH SPECIAL NEEDS CLASSROOM OPENING SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13 • 9:30AM • NORTH INDY We are excited to open our new Youth Special Needs Classroom at our North Indy campus! Adjusted programming will be offered at 9:30AM each week in the Lodge for youth grades 5th-12th. Sensory-friendly supports, modified level activities, and a calming environment will be available in this space each week for youth who may thrive in a structure different than the typical small group structure offered for middle and high school students. Parents are encouraged to contact crystal.hensley@stlukesumc.com prior to their child’s first visit so we can be ready to welcome your child! FUNERAL PLANNING CLASS NOVEMBER 16 FROM 12-1PM • NORTH INDY Death is inevitable for all of us. One of the most loving things any of us can do is to make our funeral plans and wishes known to those who remain after we are gone. Talking about death and funerals is difficult for many of us. By planning ahead, our loved ones will not be left with unanswered questions in the midst of dealing with their own grief and sorrow.
