TRADITIONAL SERVICE Order of Worship Prelude | Orchestra Opening Hymn | Christ the Lord Is Risen Today Easter Affirmation | Rev. Rob Fuquay LEADER: This is the good news which we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved. ALL: Christ died for our sins, was buried, was raised on the third day, and appeared first to the women, then to Peter and the twelve, and then to many faithful witnesses. We believe Jesus is the Christ, the Anointed One of God, the firstborn of all creation, the firstborn from the dead, in whom all things hold together, in whom the fullness of God was pleased to dwell by the power of the Spirit. Christ is the head of the body, the church, and by the blood of the cross reconciles all things to God. Amen. Choral Response Welcome | Rev. Middle School Mayhem | June 27-July 1 Students who will be in 5th-8th grade for the 2022-23 school year are invited to our FAVORITE event of the year - Middle School Mayhem! This week-long day camp gives middle schoolers a chance to form new friendships as they have discussions and competitions with their “crew” of other students and a few leaders, serve alongside their peers, learn more about faith in worship designed specifically for them, and (of course) play all kinds of insane games. This year’s theme is Mt. Mayhem! We will explore Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and the “Be-Attitudes” Jesus taught us. To learn more and register, go to stlukesumc.com/students. Back To School Extravaganza | June & July We will once again partner with Washington Township Schools to provide school supplies for EVERY elementary school child registered for free and reduces lunch...that’s 4,200 students! St. Lukers will volunteer to sort, pack, and deliver the supplies to each school. St. Luke’s will also invite our congregation to adopt classrooms and follow those donations into quarterly in-classroom serving opportunities. Finally, we will also extend our reach by adopting classrooms in Kenya via our outreach partner UMOJA. Our support will provide food, books, uniforms, and school supplies for Kenyan elementary students for the entire academic year. To learn more, visit stlukesumc.com/backtoschool.
GIVE TO THE MISSION At St. Luke’s we recognize everything we have comes from God, and we are simply sharing these gifts to grow God’s kingdom. Through tithes and offerings, we are able to show in a tangible way our love for God and our community. When you choose to give to support the ministries of St. Luke’s, you are giving to life transformation, inclusive ministry work, local outreach, and so much more! We give for many reasons, but ultimately annual giving makes possible: online and in-person worship, programs for children and students, Bible studies, small groups, pastoral care and support, mission trips, community service, and building and operational needs. We are grateful to be in ministry together with you, our community.
YOU CAN GIVE ONE 5 WAYS: 1. Online at stlukesumc.com/give 2. Text STLUKESUMC to 77977 3. Use the QR code below 4. Drop your gift in the donation box in the back of the worship space 5.
